She wonders how is she going to get out of there. Either she can go to her room, where there will be a thousand questions pondering on her or she can jump in Meera's extended gallery and get out of here like before. The second option seems easier, so here she is standing on top of Meera's roof. She jumps onto Meera's balcony, to find a curled-up Michael sleeping on Meera's couch by the doors. 'he is looking so cute she thinks,
Bhargavi : Well now I know why my sister chose you!
She says to a sleeping Michael. She climbs up the railing and jumps into Thompson's flower patch. Ethan is not out yet and she is not even wearing footwear. She knocks on his door. He opens the door in a few seconds, and he is all dressed up wearing a t-shirt, and jeans with a jacket on his arm. 'he is looking like Michael' she thinks,
Bhargavi : whoa, look at you!
Ethan : and yeah, look at you!!
Bhargavi : I couldn't go downstairs so I came just like I was, do you have an extra pair of house slippers, I'm not a fan of not wearing footwear.
Ethan : aren't we going out?
Bhargavi : can you not make coffee?
Ethan : I can make the best coffee in the world, but I thought you liked Starbucks.
Bhargavi : I don't like Starbucks I prefer Starbucks.
She says while trying to flaunt her hair which goes down as a disaster. He offers her a seat at the kitchen table. His house is enormous, she had been inside that house before but it was nothing like this. She sat on the chairs next to the kitchen table, while he made coffee. He offers her a pair of baby pink furry house slippers, the moment she puts it on it tickles her and she begins to laugh like a child. Ethan is looking at her, smiling, and she quickly takes it off.
Bhargavi : I'm having second thoughts about the house slippers.
They both laugh until, their jaws pain. She can't remember the last time she had laughed like this.
Ethan : So, where have you been?
Bhargavi : Just took some time off school, I need to think of something to go on my CV.
Ethan : you know, you don't really need to worry about it, with grades like yours, you could even get into an Ivy League school.
Bhargavi : yeah sure.
Ethan : No I'm not kidding, you're a genius, I got an A in the test just by studying a week before the test.
At that moment she felt so happy for him that she might have even welled up a bit.
Ethan : you're a good friend, Bhargavi, I owe it to you, we're 1-0.
Bhargavi : oh my favor was small, but fine, if you say I'm leading, how can I disagree?
They both chuckle. He poured them coffee and they went outside to sit on the living room couch. He is still wearing the tshirt which kind of does justice to his muscular arms. He really does take good care of his body, and then she imagined Akash working out that seriously, which makes her chortle.
