The incident occurred on Wednesday, two days before the project presentation. It was time to start the morning meeting, but Team leader Han who went upstairs did not return due to a sudden call from Managing Director Kim.

Assistant Managers Kwon and Yoon returned to their seats and started working, while the rest began to fall asleep on the table or leaning against the backs of their chairs. I dozed off in an uncomfortable position with my cheek against the cold surface of the folder. About twenty minutes passed, Assistant Manager Park's cell phone vibrated. Manager Kim, who get up next to me, crumpled her face. Assistant Manager Park's face gradually stiffened as he stammered to pick up the phone.

"What's this?"

Manager Kim asked impatiently before he even put down his phone, but Assistant Manager Park was already standing up.

"Why are you doing that?"

"I'll go up in a minute."

"What about Team leader?"

Assistant Manager Park just left the conference room, as if he was not in the mood to answer that much. As she heard footsteps moving away quickly, Manager Kim looked at him with a puzzled expression.

The meeting seemed to fizzle out. Manager Kim muttered uncomfortably as she dragged the chair back to his seat.

"I don't feel good about this."

Assistant Manager Park entered the meeting room again after twenty minutes. I quickly raised my head, but no one came in after him. The threshold of the meeting room and the hallway beyond it were empty.

"How's it been?"

"What is going on? Where is Team leader?"

Despite the questions coming from all sides, Assistant Manager Park did not open his mouth right away. He pulled the chair next to the table all the way to his seat and sat down, carefully choosing his words. At that time, Assistant Manager Kwon, who turned the chair around, asked at once.

"Is this Director Kim?"

If that was the case, her eyes were blue, as if she would run up and grab her by the collar. Assistant Manager Park glanced up and answered.

"Team leader is in the middle of the process, so wait for a moment."

"... That guy is finally crazy. They said it was a bit quiet this year, but I think they are planning to give a fuck by getting the timing right with the announcement two days away."

"Assistant Kwon."

"Let it go, I will go upstairs."

Park did not let go of the hand that held her arm. The wheeled chair was dragged along by Assistant Manager Kwon's power. Assistant Manager Kwon, who was shouting to let go, tried to shake off his arm while gritting her teeth. It was an out-of-the-ordinary hand-to-hand combat in the bright conference room.

Anyway, Assistant Manager Park was a man of height and physique. He held the desk with one hand, and no matter how much Kwon pulled on it, it was of no use. As he looked up at the fiercely glaring face, Assistant Manager Park said quietly.

"I'm here because I can't help him."

"So, did you come down again because you didn't think it would be helpful? Isn't it because you can't make a sound in front of Director Kim?"

"Assistant Kwon."

"It's obvious that that person is determined to bring down Team leader Han, but he calmly thinks that he will solve it on his own."

"Team leader tells me to leave, so what are you going to do after going up there?"

Assistant Manager Park also raised his voice.
