Harry was the first to rush over to my hospital bed. He sat on one side of me while Louis sat on the other side. The other three boys stood at the foot of the bed. None of them said anything. They just watched me with concerned expressions.
"Hey..." I said feeling awkward. No one answered so I decided to keep talking. "How's your leg Niall?" I asked smiling softly.
He gave me a strange look as if wondering why I wasn't crying or super quiet. "Um, it's getting better. Only have to be on crutches for another week."
"Well that's good." I said enthusiastically before we were overcome with silence once again. I look around at the boys and realised that none of them were looking directly at me. They were looking at the machines hooked up to me.
"Guys..." I trailed off but none of them looked at me.
"GUYS!" I shouted sharply. All of their heads snapped up and I could see the fear in their eyes. "I'm fine, really." I lied not wanting them to worry.
"No you're not..." Louis whispered. I frowned and tried to look down at myself but I couldn't lift my head high enough.
Just then, the nurse walked in with a clip board and the doctor. They both gave me a smile and said that they just had to do a check up. The boys were allowed to stay in the room as the doctor took some of my blood and adjusted the medicine being put into my IV.
"Is there anything you need before we leave?" The doctor asked.
"A shower and discharge would be nice." I replied.
"We can't have you discharged yet but we can get you cleaned up if you like." The nurse said and I nodded. I tried to push myself up from the bed but my muscles were too weak.
"Let me help you." Harry said, speaking for the first time since he arrived.
"NO!" I screamed not wanting him to touch me. "I-I mean, no thank you. The nurse will help me." I mumbled and refused to let my eyes meet his confused gaze.
The nurse came over and helped me off of the bed and over to the cleaning room while boys stayed in the hospital room.
I thought about my lash out at Harry when he requested to help me. I wasn't even thinking when I yelled at him but I couldn't bare the idea of him touching me. Maybe it was because I felt disgusting or because I was scared of anyone touching me. But the nurse touched me and I was fine. I let my worries slip away as the warm water cleaned me and stung the cuts.
When I was changed into a clean hospital gown that covered most of the bruises on me, I wandered back to my bed. Only Harry was left in the room and he didn't notice my presence until I climbed onto the bed and he looked up. I tucked myself under the sheets and positioned myself so I was sitting cross legged.
I looked down at Harry who had his head resting on his arms and was staring at the bed. I couldn't see his face but I knew he wasn't sleeping.
"Harry?" I called quietly but he didn't move.
"Hazz? Please look at me." I whispered. He tilted his head up to look at me and I felt my body tremble a little at his expression. He looked like a puppy that had just been punished for doing nothing wrong. "I'm sorry. I love you. I'm just a little jumpy."
"I love you too Sam. More than anything." He replied and set his hand on top of my knee causing me to flinch even though there was a sheet separating us. I know he noticed but he didn't say anything.
"When does your next tour start?" I asked trying to distract myself from his hand that still hadn't left my leg.
"Not until after the holidays but we still have an interview and performance before Christmas, but after that I'm all yours." Harry said returning to his normal charming self.
I nodded and let out a yawn before blinking a few times.
"You should get some sleep babe." Harry said reaching for the button to recline the bed. I nodded and pulled the blankets up to my neck. It wasn't long before sleep over took me and I was off in dream land.
I woke up in a dark room similar to the one that Dustin and Matt had taken me too. It was like a flashback but something felt different. I heard the loud footsteps coming closer and suddenly there were two shadows in front. Except this time they weren't Matt and Dustin. It was Harry and . . . Harry? There were two Harrys standing in front of me and they were both smiling sickly. They stepped closer and started shaking me and yelling my name.
My eyes snapped open to someone shaking me and yelling my name. The first thing I saw was Harry's face right in front of me and both of his hands on my shoulders. I let out an ear piercing scream and felt like I was being crowded.
Harry was pulled off of me and my body was held down by nurses to keep from shaking. My body stopped thrashing and the nurses slowly let go of me but held there arms out ready to tackle me again if I decided to move.
"Nightmare. It was just a nightmare." I said to myself squeezing my eyes shut and clinging to the bed sheets. Tears managed to slip past my eyelids and drip down my face and it suddenly felt like I needed to get out of the hospital.
"I need to go home." I squeaked out. "I need to go back to England. I can't be here." I choked out through the sobs.
"I'll go talk to the doctor." One of the nurses whispered to another and then paced out of the room.
The doctor came back into the room with a needle in his hand and walked over to me. "This will help Sam. When you wake up, you'll be healthy enough to go home. I'll see you in a couple days."
Before what the doctor had said had time to sink in, he stabbed the needle into my thigh and squeezed its contents out. I instantly felt drowsy and my eye lids felt heavy. Before I could muster up the energy to protest, darkness overcame me and everything seemed more peaceful.
This chapter was just a filler so don't kill me about the whole 'touching' situation cuz it'll get better (at least I hope so)
Hope you enjoyed. Xx
