Charlie made small talk with the other parents while waiting for school to end. The familiar toll of the bell rang, and the doors burst open. Young children ran out to hug their parents. Charlie walked in, knowing Juanaflippa would still be inside, usually hanging out with her best friend, Tilín. Charlie spotted his best friend, Quackity, fixing papers on his desk. Charlie walked over to Quackity, tapping on his desk to get his attention. "Hey man! What's up?"

Quackity looked up and grinned, setting what he had been fiddling with down. He walked around the desk and opened his arms wide, embracing his friend. "Hey! How's it going? How are you?"

"Oh, you know. Same old same old." He shrugged, 'You?"

Before Quackity could respond, Wilbur walked in. Tallulah, who had been drawing quietly in the back, got up and rushed over to hug him. He spoke to her quietly and gently ushered her towards the door. Wilbur and Quackity locked eyes.

"Sorry I was late." Wilbur apologized.

Quackity shook his head. "No worries, you busy, I get it."

Wilbur chuckled, "Yeah, um, are we still on for tomorrow?"

Charlie saw Quackity blush a little.

"Yeah, definitely!" He responded.

Wilbur nodded and left, picking up Tallulah on the way out.

Charlie nudged Quackity. "So, you and Wilbur, huh?"

Quackity rolled his eyes. "Oh, please." He walked to his desk.

Charlie followed him. He awkwardly sat down on the nearest chair, which happened to be absolutely tiny. "You guys are going on dates now. What an improvement!"

"It's been two dates."

Charlie grinned, "Exactly! Now, how's your life going?"

Quackity sighed and sat his chair. He rested his head on his hand. "My life's been good. Being a teacher is stressful but rewarding, even if some parents can be...difficult."

"Bad?"

"Ugh, you have no idea! He may as well be the damn principal!"

"Well, at least your love life is going well."

Quackity hummed. Then his eyebrows furrowed, he leaned forward and whispered, so their kids wouldn't hear, "And you and Mariana?"

Charlie chuckled nervously, "Ah, that." He glanced down at his hands. Quackity reached over and placed one hand on Charlie's. He gave him a small smile.

"It's gonna be okay. Whatever you do, just know I support you and only want you happy." He whispered.

Charlie nodded so hard he might've given himself whiplash, just so he didn't tear up and cry on the spot.

"Yeah, thanks, man."

Charlie breathed in and got up. He called for Juanaflippa and left. They got into the car, singing all the songs on the radio. Charlie laughed as Juanaflippa attempted to hit a high note. Yeah, everything is going to be okay.
