The group didn't always have free time especially with school almost ending and most of them having to find their ways through the job market but when they did have time to be with each other.

Currently they were all in Vanessa's room at parents' penthouse considering the group was having some repairs done at their apartments.

"Can't believe your parents kept your room exactly like you left it." Zay shook his head looking around the room, seeing everything just as it was when they used to spend time after school in their high school years.

"I mean what were they going to do with it? It's not like there aren't other rooms here if they needed a storage room." Vanessa questioned with a small smile thinking back to the memories her room held.

"There's also another reason." Grace piped in knowing why her cousin's place didn't change much. "In our family there's a tradition for the bride-to-be to not see her groom before the wedding."

"Pretty sure that's a tradition for most people, Gracie." Joshua wrapped an arm around Maya as he looked over to the woman with a raised eyebrow remembering when his brothers explained it to him.

"Yeah but in our family the bride, or groom, whichever floats your boat, would spend time in their childhood home as a way of closing that chapter in life and readying to start the new chapter. A bit old school but it has helped the married-to-be to feel prepared." Grace nodded over to the Matthew man but she had remembered how her parents explained to her their wedding events before.

"Is your guys' family just well adjusted people?" Sam questioned her best friend and Grace considering most of what she had heard from the Romano family had been prepared people.

"Eh maybe." The cousins responded with a shrug knowing that it could seem like that but their families do have their moments.

"Wow, what's that like?" Jason and Maya both questioned leaning forward before turning to each other in question though they eventually shared a high five considering they have had similar childhood experiences.

"I mean let's be honest we don't always seem well adjusted or knowing what to do. I mean the literal start of our family line started by an arranged marriage they both didn't know each other well enough." Vanessa leaned back into Farkle's arm as she held onto the necklace that had the key to the trunk of her family history.

"Eh you're fine you ended up together." Jason waved off the comment while taking a sip from his drink while his best friend and brother nodded over to him though the three just got looks from all their friends. "What?"

"Yeah that's our question. What are you guys talking about?" Lucas furrowed his eyebrows asking the question they were all thinking.

"I only know half of this." Farkle raised his arms up in surrender trying to hold back his chuckle as he saw his fiancée sending him a look for his actions.
