Regulus was glad he was far away from Sirius before he started coughing. He was thankful no petals came up, only a few specks of blood. He knew he couldn't go to Main Hall after the argument, knowing full well Pandora would be able to tell something was off just by looking at him. Regulus sat down on the floor of an abandoned hallway and rested the back of his head against the wall. He regrets promising James that he would talk to Sirius, he should have known it was a bad idea from the start. After a while, he heard someone walking down the hallway towards him. He looked towards the sound to see Pandora and he groaned. Why does she have to know all of his hiding spots?

"What happened Reg?" She whispered as she sat beside him. He rested his head on her shoulder.

"I tried. Sirius wanted to talk to me and I tried my hardest to be civil but obviously, I'm not even capable of being civil" Regulus sighed. "I can't do anything right Dora"

"Of course you can, it's not just your fault. It was an effort between the two of you to be civil and it wasn't just your fault. Never say that again okay?"

"Okay," Pandora nodded at his answer. It was a while before Regulus said anything else.

"I'm scared. What if I'm never gonna be on good terms with him again? I don't have long Dora and I'm so scared. He's my brother"

"I know Reggie, I know" She started running her hands through his hair, which made him feel so at peace. He could feel himself start to tear up.

"I don't want to lose him forever. I love him so much but he thinks I'm some little Pureblood that follows their parent's orders. I did everything for him, but it wasn't enough for him. I'm not enough for him"

"Oh Reggie," She said softly. She wiped away his tears.

"Don't be angry when I say this, but maybe rethink the whole surgery-" Regulus quickly stopped Pandora's sentence, stood up and looked at her. She looked up at him surprised.

"I'm not doing this right now," Regulus tells her, then walks away without hearing her response. He thought Pandora would understand his decision but of course, he was wrong. He just wanted her to be there for him and support what he wanted, not to try and change his mind. He rubbed his hand against his face and sighed, making his way to the dorms. It was nearing the end of lunch, so Regulus knew he wouldn't be interrupted. As he expected, the dungeons were empty, and most of the school would be making their way towards whatever class they had. The moment he entered his room, he collapsed on his bed and immediately went to sleep.

James honestly thought it would have been a good idea for Sirus and Regulus to talk. He hoped that the conversation he had with Regulus would mean any conversation would have been more civil than if he didn't, but James knew by the way Sirus came storming into the Main Hall, and Regulus nowhere to be seen, that he was wrong. Sirius sat down next to James, sitting down with such force that it nearly spilt over James' drink, and immediately started to complain.

"Honestly, I don't even know how we are related! He is so insufferable. All I wanted to do was to bloody talk to him but apparently, I'm not even allowed to do that" Sirius ranted. "I wasn't even worth his time, going on about how he had better places to be! I'm his brother for Merlin's sake and he can't even spare a minute for me"

"I'm guessing the conversation didn't go well then," Remus asked. Sirius glared at him.

"It bloody didn't! He blamed everything on me you know. Going on like he was some innocent child! Raving on like he was the hero of the story" Sirius continued, shoving some food onto his plate, but James started to get confused.
