DEAD VALLEY.

The handsome alpha was what seemed to capture Iris's attention they stared into each other for a long until they were interrupted by someone clearing their throat loudly, and who else could that be if not the jealous Noel. Darrell glared at him for interrupting them. Iris looked with a faded shade as she blushed, and this did not go unnoticed by both Noel and Darrell. Darrell smiled briefly as he noticed his effect on the huntress before him while Noel scowled. She quickly covered her feelings and put on a business face.

"To what do I owe the pressure of being invited to a meeting by the big bad alpha?" Iris asked sarcastically.

"You know the reason we called you here. So here is our offer. We let your parent free, and you agree to be my mate and also you have to promise not to hunt our kind anymore." Darrell told her.

"That will never happen you cannot have her as you mate over my dead body. You do not deserve the honor of having her as your mate." Noel interrupted Iris before she could speak earning a growl from both Iris and Darrell. When they had Iris growl, they all looked at her as if she had grown a second head. Realizing her mistake, she cleared her throat, making everyone snap and look elsewhere except her.

"The last time I confirmed she could speak for herself, so I don't get why you have to answer for her," Darrell told Noel.

"Can you shut up both of you I have had enough of you. Here is what I have to say I am never going to become your mate. And I don't care what you think you are holding my parent in your filthy home, but you should now that you are dealing with a blood hunter here and I will stop at nothing less than getting my parent. You won't know what happened when I decide to come for them and dot you dare even think of killing them because I will make sure your life will be a nightmare and trust me you don't want to be on my bad side." Iris told Darrell firmly.

"If you think you are the one who has been wronged remember that you are the one who started this by killing my other mate and my twins. If you had learnt your place in the first place all this war would not be there. My wife was not harming anyone she was just having her morning run and you decide to end her life because you think that she was a monster. If you had not killed her then this bond would not have been activated. So don't blame me for this bond you caused it. Then I guess this meeting is over and you can say bye to your parent for good and I look forward to you coming. Maybe you don't know who you are trying to mess with." Darrell said as him and his team retreated back to their territory. And the hunters to theirs. Noel was now smiling like a kid who had a candy shop. He almost laughed at the disappointed look on Darrell face after Iris had confirmed that she was not going to be his mate. It took all his strength not to turn back and take Iris in his arms and kiss the life out her. His wolf was threatening to come out especially when he saw the way Noel was looking at what is theirs and her intoxicating smell was not helping at calming his wolf instead it just threatened to rip the hunter beside their mate into pieces. He had quickly left the place quickly before his wolf had done something he could regret much later.
