Chapter 6: Saving Berk

A small boat floated across the water

There were arrows stuck in a piece of wood

"May the valkeries welcome you and lead you through Odin's great battlefield"

People picked up their bows

"May they sing your name with love and Fury, so that we might hear it rise from the depths of valhalla"

Hiccup and (y/n) stood side by side, watching the boat float away

The two were stood ahead of everyone else

(Y/n) placed her head on Hiccup's shoulder as he held her hand

"And you know that you've taken your rightful place at the table of leaders."

Gobber handed them their bow and arrows

He placed his hand on their shoulders

"For a great man has fallen."

He walked away

"A warrior. A chieftain. A father. A friend."

Everyone had tears running down their face

Hiccup and (y/n) placed the tip of their arrows in the fire and aimed it

The two looked at each other and nodded slightly before letting the arrow fly

It landed in the boat and everyone else aimed their arrows

Stoick's body was under a cloth with his helmet on top

The boat was being enveloped with flames

"I'm sorry, dad."

(Y/n) knelt down and put her head in her hands, leaning against Reaper

Hiccup watched the boat burn

"I'm not the chief you wanted me to be. And I'm not the peacemaker I thought I was. I...don't know."

Valka walked up to the two

"You came early into this world. You were such wee things. Oh, so frail, so fragile." She spoke

"I feared you wouldn't make it, the both of you."

She walked infront of Hiccup and stroked his hair

"But your father...he never doubted, he always said you'd become the strongest of them all. And he was right."

She knelt down and lifted (y/n)'s head up

"You have the heart of a chief, and the soul of a dragon."

Hiccup knelt down

"Only you can bring our worlds together." She told the two

"That...is who you are."

Hiccup stood up

"I was so afraid of becoming my dad. Mostly because I never thought I could. How do you become someone that great, that brave, that...selfless?"

"I guess you can only try."

(Y/n) stood up

"A chief protects their own." (Y/n) said, Mostly to herself

"We're going back." Hiccup said

"Uh...with what?" Tuffnut asked

"Uh, he took all the dragons." Ruffnut said

(Y/n) looked at Reaper and then at Hiccup

"Not all of them"
