I laid in my floaty that was in the pool, I giggled on the phone as I heard Kidada on the other end. My sister sat at the edge of the pool, kicking her little legs in as she still didn't want to come in the water, I was watching her of course. The girl was quiet looking down with a frown on her face.

"She's such a cutie pie, with her little frown." I told Kidada as the conversation was clearly on about her. Alexa lifted her head up and saw me staring at her.

"Ney ney I couldn't swrimmm Pessha ." Alexis said as she was staring right at me. She pouted as she wanted me to help her in, she really wanted to join me. I sighed before I began to start ending the conversation with Kidada.

"I'll talk to you later, Kidada," I said into the phone, smiling as I watched my sister splash around in the pool. "Aaliyah wants to talk to you too," Kidada said, her voice slightly muffled through the phone. "I promise I'll call her later," I replied, trying to keep my attention on my sister who was now attempting to do a handstand in the water. "I've gotta go now, my sister needs me," I said quickly, hanging up the phone before Kidada could say anything else.

Or maybe I was trying to ignore the mention of Aaliyah for now.

I turned to see my brother Kevin, who had just arrived at the pool, grinning at me. "I hope I'm not late, you girls wanted snacks." He placed the tray filled with goodies on the small table by the chairs.

"You need help lil momma?" Kevin asked my little sister as he saw her struggling to get in, I smiled and watched as she took his hands carefully getting in the water her little feet, I decided to come closer to them helping her as her floaty was much of help of its on but still she wasn't used to this kind of support.

"Lay flatly stare up, I gotcha." I said to her as I positioned her body freely against the water, her feet went from the water, the facing the sight of the sky.

"You're ready." I asked her, I slightly let go—-
"Wait." Alexis said as she was gotten a little scared, "Don't let me go." She begged, and I didn't I kept my hands steady on her tiny lower body.

"Courtney be careful." Kevin told me as she was slightly backing up watching from a little afar. "

"Of course," I said, laughing as he cannonballed into the pool, joining my sister in her shenanigans. It was the perfect summer day spent with my family, and I couldn't wait to tell Kidada all about it later.

"Kevin!" I yelled as I felt him splash me, I chuckled as I tried to get him back but he only just used my sister as some shield.

It was fun that day, it felt good to be normal, it felt good to have good energy around me.

I wished it stayed like that though...

"Kevin looks so sexy." I heard one of the girls say as me and my sister were behind her, when I heard his name come out of the girls mouth I slightly leaned over. "I told you, he was....." I barely could hear the game going on before, the only thing I could hear was this thot talking about Kevin. It bothered me.

My little sister beside me digged her hands in the popcorn that was in my arm and proceeded laying her head on arm. But the women infront of me were only in my bracket, I could even focus.

The shoes on the basketball squeaked making me turn my eyes back on the men playing ball, the score was 11 —14 having Kevin time slightly losing, they only had 8 minutes to make up the point though. I could tell Kevin wasn't happy becoming increasingly frustrated with his teammates.

"That team definitely cheating, clearly they got one member looking like he sprawling on steroids." I heard the same girls say but it was the friend instead. "Yeah cause this is rigged as hell my man would take each and everyone on the court."
