Y/N's POV

"If you go," I said, "I won't be here when you come back."

"Stop being so dramatic Y/N," he mocked me "I'm going to the party with Topper and when I come back you'll be reading your book in the bedroom, just like you always do."

"Feel free to believe anything you want Rafe," I was definitely disappointed now "just don't say I didn't warn you."

"Yeah, yeah sure," he said ironically "this ain't the way that you are going to get me to give you attention Y/N, it's not going to work with me."

I sighted, defeated.

"Okay Rafe," I started making my way to the room "do as you please."

I locked the bedroom door and began packing my things

I heard the front door open and close, then the sound of Rafe's car leaving.

RAFE's POV

I didn't have a good feeling about going to the party, but Y/N was being so annoying that I felt like I needed to go just to piss her off.

On my way to the party my heart began to race, Y/N was definitely bluffing about leaving, so why was I so nervous.

I started to feel deeply guilty and decided to call Y/N to see if she was okay, but when I went straight to her voicemail, I became really worried and decided to go back home and check on her.

I didn't even bother to park correctly, I just jumped out of the car and raced towards the front door.

When I walked in everything was black - she's probably just resting in our bedroom, I told myself - I rushed up the stair hoping to find Y/N watching a movie like she normally does.

The room was dark and cold, I went into our closet and part of her clothes weren't there.

I was so tense, that I didn't even realize I was crying.

Y/N was really gone.

I called her non-stop, but all I kept hearing was her fucking voicemail: "hey, it's Y/N, I'm probably busy at the moment, so I'll call you back as soon as possible, bye."

I continued trying to reach her, calling and leaving a thousand messages. I was almost giving up when I remembered that we have access to each other's locations (A/N - this is definitely something rafe would have), and thank god she forgot to turn her off.

I rushed to my car and started driving to her parent's house, where she was, according to my phone.

When I got there all the lights were off, except for her room.

I picked up a few small rocks from the floor and began throwing them at her window.

At first, I believed she just ignored my attempt to contact her, but after several minutes had passed, she decided to answer me.

"What do you want Rafe?" Her voice was soft and tired, I could tell she had been crying "Shouldn't you be at a party with your friends?"

"I never got to the party Y/N," I shouted over her balcony "midway there I regretted going and went back home to apologize to you, but you weren't there."

"First, stop shouting, you'll wake the neighbors up." she said "Second, I can't stand maintaining a conversation with someone by screaming. And lastly, I'm not really in the mood for talking to you right now, so please leave."

She went back inside her room and turned off the lights, but I wasn't going to give up that easily, therefore, somehow, I found a way to climb up her window and get into her room.

"What the actual fuck Rafe, I told you to leave me alone, not to climb my house!" she acted as if she didn't know I would do that "Get out!"

"I'm not leaving until you listen to me Y/N," I told her "I don't care what you say."

"Hurry up then Rafe," she sighed "you have three minutes."

She turned on the lights, allowing me to clearly see her, her eyes were puffy and red, her lips were swollen and she looked exhausted.

"Uh..." there were a bunch of things that I wanted to tell her, but at that moment, seeing the pain that I had caused her, I didn't know what to say.

"Uh what, Rafe?" She mocked me "I didn't give you a chance to talk to me, just for you to make a fool out of me."

"I'm sorry!" I took her off guard by hugging her. "On my way to the party I felt like I shouldn't be going, it just didn't feel right, so I turned around and went back home, but when I got there you weren't there."

"I told you I wouldn't be." She said "I specifically told you that if you went to the party I wouldn't be home when you got back."

"I know," I didn't have anything to say "I'm sorry I even left the house, I don't have anything more to explain, just that I am sorry baby, and that I really hope you can forgive me."

"Are you done?" She asked me, and that was enough for my heart to shatter. "If you are, you can leave now."

I nodded and started making my way towards the window.

And as I was climbing out I heard Y/N calling me.

"Rafe," I looked at her trying really hard not to cry "This is your last and only chance, if you do anything like this again, don't even bother looking for me, understood?"

I ran towards her and wrapped my arms tightly around her.

"I promise I will make this chance worth it my love." I peppered kisses all over her face "I love you way too much."
