PART 3

RAFE' S POV

I spent the rest of the day working on our dinner, making sure everything was perfect

I hired the best chef to cook for us, asked Sarah to help me setting up the most pretty table decoration, made a playlist with all of our favorite songs, literally everything

When I was done with the dinner things, I remembered that I had forgotten to pick up her anniversary gift yesterday, so I went to the mall to collect it at the store

It was the prettiest necklace that I had ever seen, it was all filled with white gold diamonds, so delicate, just like Y/N

I also chose a bouquet of colorful roses 'because they were her favorites and always made her smile

When I got home it was almost six, so I decided to start getting ready, seeing as I told her to be here by seven

I showered, fixed my hair, brushed my teeth, used her favorite cologne, got dressed in some fancy clothes, a black social pants and a white social shirt, and went downstairs to wait for her

*Half an hour later*

My hands were sweating and my heart was beating really fast, it was already half past seven and she wasn't here

I waited a few more minutes and she didn't show up, I sighed and as I was making my way to the kitchen to dismiss the chef, the doorbell rang

My heart skipped a beat and I rushed to the front door

When I opened the door, there she was and looking as stunning as always

She wore a midi black dress that hugged all of her curves perfectly, with some black heels. Her hair looked like perfectly shaped waves, her skin was glowing and she had also done a black eyeliner

"Wow" was all I could say

I handed her the roses and she gave me a weak smile

"You look beautiful Y/N" this girl is so gorgeous that I swear I could spend hours admiring her "Please come in"

I stepped aside and made room for her to come in. She placed the flowers and her purse on the entrance table

"You don't look so bad yourself Rafe" she teased while fixing the tie that was hanging loosely in my neck, I smiled looking at her, because I knew that she loved doing that

When she was done we just stood there staring at each other as if no one else existed and it was just her and me in the world

"Shall we sit" I pointed to the table that Sarah had helped me prepare, with candles and flower petals, she nodded

I held her chair and helped her sit down "Thank you Rafe"

"No problem love" I made my way to the other side of the table and sat facing her "I had the chef prepare your favorite dish"

"Thanks again Rafe, you didn't have to do that for me" she said

"Of course I did" she deserved this and way much more "After all I put you through there's not enough things that I can do to make up to you, what I did to you was horrible and you didn't deserve it darling, I'm so, so, so sorry for bailing our dates and forgetting our anniversary"

"It's fine Rafe" she was smiling at me "After all I did give you another chance, didn't I?"

I smiled at her and grabbed her hand, her skin was so soft, then I remembered that I had found the ring I gave her when we first started dating, I was on my pocket so I could give it to her if she showed up, which she did

"When I realized that I had forgotten our breakfast I went to our spot looking for you and I found this" I showed her the ring "Since you decided to give me another chance, and this time I promise that I won't mess things up, could you pretty please put it back, it just hurts so much to not see you wear it"

"Of course I could Rafey" I smiled at the nickname "Would you mind putting it on for me?"

She gave me her hand and I slipped the ring on her finger, placing a soft kiss on her hand

Our dinner was delicious, we talked and remembered our old days, when we met, our first date, me asking her to be my girlfriend, memories that would be forever stocked in our minds

Once we were already finished with dinner I told Y/N that I got her a little present, I grabbed the box and handed to her

"Oh my, Rafe this is so beautiful" she said while staring at the necklace with amazement "Thank you so much"

She stood up and hugged me tightly, gosh she smelled amazing, I turned her around and placed the piece of jewelry on her neck, placing a little soft kiss at the back of her neck

"Anything for you sweetheart" I told her as I stared deeply into her eyes

"I also got you something" she picked up a package that was next to her purse "It's not as big as this necklace, but I think you'll really like it"

It was a framed photo of us, I remember that day, we were at her mom's party and Sarah snapped this photo when we weren't paying attention, in the picture I was staring at Y/N with adoration in my eyes and she was laughing at something that I don't quite recall, she looked perfect

I placed the frame on the table and hugged her one more time "Thank you so much for the gift my love, I loved it"

As we were hugging our favorite song started playing "Your Song by Elton John"

"Let's dance" I led her to the middle of the living room and placed my hands on her waist as she wrapped her hands around my neck

We danced throughout the whole room, I twirled her around, picked her up and kissed her as many times as I could

As the song ended I picked up my singing skills and sang the last verse to her "How wonderful life is while you're in the world" I put my hand on her thigh and laid her body, while kissing her with passionately

"I love you so much" I said hugging her tightly "You have no idea"

"I love you so much" she also said giving me a passionate kiss

Awnnnnn happy ending, I've got to admit that I really enjoyed this chapter, but as much as I love soft Rafe, I prefer the dominant proactive person that we all love, so expect to face the dominant side of Rafe in the next chapter!!
