Chapter 8: Dubious Bacon

It was a new day, Adrien had put on a bigger shirt to hide his wounds, Sasha was playing happily while Ellie sat there, watching her and Adrien was now stuck in room with Faux Shadow and Solar Flare. Green Shadow was cooking bacon and bacon and bacon and eggs with a side of bacon, since Adrien was in too much pain to do it himself.

"Adrien, I have to say, I'm so sorry. I'll accept any insults or hatred you have towards me and frankly, I deserve to hear them. In fact, just say them all right now, be as mean as you want!" Offered Solar Flare. "Solar Flare, please stop, listening to your begging feels worse than you torturing me." Replied Adrien, gently closing her mouth to shut her up. "Okay but I would really encourage continuing." Replied Solar Flare.

"No, no sweetie, you have to make up for it, not apologize. Now Adry, what do you want?" Shushed Faux Shadow cuddling Adrien. "Bacon, like always. I thought you knew that." Admitted Adrien. "Do you wanna sit here and starve while you're waiting or get some hot and steamy bacon right now?" Offered Faux Shadow. "Not the way you'd give it to me." Denied Adrien pushing her away.

"Fine, look, Sunny, just cuddle him and warm him up, he'll be fine." Sighed Faux Shadow. "But what if he associates it with my manic episode and cries?" Worried Solar Flare. "I won't and I am actually somewhat cold so feel free to do it." Adrien was lying, he was actually quite warm, since he was using a blanket to sleep, like a normal person.

Nervously, Solar Flare wrapped herself around him and gave off a few embers. It was a pleasant warmth, although it was harmed by Solar Flare's constant worries. "Alright, we're getting up." Announced Adrien, ascending from the bed and holding Solar Flare up as she clung to him. "But breakfast isn't finished yet! Stay in bed with us!" Whined Faux Shadow.

"I think it's better to get out of the bed so Solar Flare stops whining and starts moving on. Seriously, it's fine, you don't have to sorry about it, everything has been forgiven, I assure you, everything." Declared Adrien, absolutely sure in his decision. "Really," Adrien nodded. "Then I guess we can keep doing this, right?" Asked Solar Flare, stars in her eyes.

"Sure, I don't see why not." Adrien replied, still holding her. She then wrapped herself  around tighter, to the point where it was significantly harder to move. "I could stay like this for the rest of our lives." Declared Solar Glare into Adrien's ear. "What about your job?" Wondered Adrien. "Green Shadow and I have probably already been suspended for harboring a non-authorized Hypnoflower and harboring a fugitive at this point but don't worry, we don't need them, we just need each other." Whispered Solar Flare, lovingly.

"Moving on from that display, breakfast is ready!" Cheered Green Shadow, slapping down two plates for Solar Flare and Adrien. Fuax Shadow promptly walked in and took a seat as well. Green Shadow gave her one too before getting a dish for herself. Before Adrien could dig in, Solar Flare held his arms down. "Let me feed you." She requested, already holding a fork with bacon on it.

Regardless of whatever answer Adrien was hoping to say, she shoved the mouthful into Adrien's face and forced him to eat it. Since Adrien did like bacon, he let her feed him and later, she made him sit there as she ate her fill. By that time, Green and Faux Shadow both finished eating and stood there, laughing a little as they watched Adrien as Solar Flare quickly ate as fast as possible.

Once she was finished, she got up and held him in a bridal pose. "Okay, that's enough! We need to move on with our day and do something." Declared Green Shadow as she took Adrien away from him and put him down. In response, Solar Flare hissed at her and grabbed his arm. "Why are you being so possessive? I thought you changed." Remarked Faux Shadow.

"Old habits die hard." Quoted Solar Flare before letting go. "Okay but don't let it happen again, it really makes you look like a crazy person." Advised Green Shadow, she took Adrien away and hugged him protectively while looking at Solar Flare. It was a few seconds before any of them said anything. "So uhh, let's watch the news!" Suggested Adrien. He broke away from the hug and turned on the tv.
