To put it simply, the United States of America was pissed.

The personification and the citizens alike.

1941, December 7th. The Japanese Empire had attacked Pearl Harbor.

Alfred glanced at his wrist as he approached the war meeting room. It was a bit sprained and had a cut, but would be fine.

It would be nothing compared to what his enemies would receive.

--------------- in the meeting room ---------------

England slumped in his chair. It was not very gentlemanly, but he could not care less.

The war meeting was silent with hushed chatter. Nations sat, scattered around and on opposite sides of the room based on their current state.

He glanced at Francis, who was on the Axis side due to Germany's annexation. The usually outgoing, flirty man had become scary thin, and his face- his diamond eyes, now dusty and dark, just showed how lost he was.

The war affected everyone. Whether you were in it, or not. Trade, supplies, food, everything was being conserved and there was only so much of it.

England was so, very tired. The German bombings had been painful, and while he was still standing, they would continue.

Looking around, pretty much everyone was in bad shape. The Axis seemed a bit healthier, but only by a fraction. Everyone seemed a bit thinner than usual, and there was a missing spark in their eyes, the energy in the room wasn't there.

Unfocused, blurry eyes, replaying the visions and memories of the war.

England shook his head, back to bloody focus! He stared at his allies, grateful.

But something was missing.

Someone was missing.

Everybody knew who. And everyone was on the edge of their seats to find out if they'd come.

The news spread like hotcakes, and now every nation knew.

The US Naval Base in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, had been attacked. By the Japanese.

Japan looked tense, slightly nervous.

England wanted to rush over to Alfred's country and check on his health and condition, but it was difficult at the time due to war.

He was paying attention to every noise, every sound. It seemed to have been driving him insane in the last few months.

He waited as the chatter in the room remained a lul of whisper and had a tense atmosphere.

He waited and observed the Axis, what they were doing, what the countries captured were doing.

He waited and looked at his allies, and made eye contact with Matthew, who gave a tired smile.

He waited, he waited, he waited.

And just when he couldn't wait anymore-

The war meeting doors slammed open with such strong force, the doors bonking into the wall.

Everyone flinched, some people jumping out of their seats or falling down, but all to face who was standing in the doorway.

And there, basking in all the attention with the spotlight seemlingly on him, stood Alfred F. Jones, the United States of America.

The room was immediately silenced upon looking at the sunny haired boy, who was dressed in formal military clothing. England looked closely and noticed his eyes.

The normally calm, crystal blue sky eyes seemed to have a storm brewing.

They made eye contact, and Alfred offered a small smile. Then focusing his attention back on other nations, he closed the door behind him and walked in a medium pace, his steps dramatic and decisive.

England noticed Japan tense up, and then saw the two make eye contact.

"America."

Japan uttered a single word in the pin drop silent room, and it seemed to echo for a few seconds.

Alfred cleared his throat.

"On December 8th, 1941, the United States of America has officially declared war against Imperial Japan."

Japan knew this was coming, but to hear those words, straight from America's mouth...

The Axis looked horrified, eyes wide open.

England smirked. With America in the war, it felt like a breath of fresh air.

Canada smiled as well.

"Vengeance will not be complete until Japanese sea power is reduced to impotence."

And with that, Alfred grabbed an empty seat and sat down in between England and Russia.

Arthur looked up at him. Alfred looked back, and they smiled.

"Git, I was wondering when you'd arrive."

"Iggy, I was helping my country! But I'm here now, don't loose your chips."

Arthur rolled his eyes playfully, and then glanced at Alfred's hand. His wrist had a bandage around it. He reached out and touched it, and Alfred winced and immediately pulled his arm back.

"Sorry, how's it feeling?"

"Fine, it's... fresh, it'll stop hurting in a bit." Alfred gave his signature smile and immediately calmed Arthur down. Alfred looked tired, with a slight darkness under his eyes, but he looked refreshed and excited.

"Welcome to war, comrade." Russia spoke from the other side of Alfred. Arthur shivered.

Alfred smiled.

"Hey Ivan, how're you holding up?"

"I am continuing to fight, yes?"

"Definitely are, big guy."

"You ready for war, eh?" Canada entered the conversation.

America's smile retreated, his eyes narrowing threateningly.

"May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't."

A/N
HOLY DUCKING DUCKS IM BACK!!! I hope ya'll enjoy this random treat. I've been reading a bunch of random fanfics and was craving some pissed off America. I didn't execute it that well here, but I still hope you got that vibe.

This one actually took a few days! I wanted to make it dramatic while still being historically accurate. Originally, I planned to have America declare war on Germany and Italy too, but I didn't like the way it tied together.

There are some innacuracies, for sure! Do let me know if you spot any.

Alfred did say both quotes ahead of time. It's for the fun of it, k?
- The first quote, "Vengeance will not be complete until Japanese sea power is reduced to impotence." was said by Admiral Nimitz, on June 6th, 1942, after the Battle of Midway.
- The second quote, "May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't." was from General George S. Patton, I'm honestly not sure when he said this. Let me know if you do!

Requests on chapter 1!
