We Do Someting Very Stupid

Sophie's POV

You know how when you're waking up and you already know it's not gonna be a normal day? That's how it felt for me.

I got dressed as soon as I woke up and went downstairs. I ate breakfast. I played with Wynn and Luna. I even helped feed the Gorgadon.

I suddenly got a hail on my imparter. When I got it out of my pocket, the name 'Councilor Oralie' popped up. I didn't want to answer, but of course, I did.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"We are having a meeting for your friends and most of Team Valiant. Come at the Tribunal Hall." She said then ended the hail.

I sighed and got my cape on. I told Grady and Edaline what was happening and they said to be careful. I went to the Leapmaster and called out the place.

When I arrived, almost everyone was already there. All who were missing were Tam and Linh. When they got there, we walked inside.

"So... what do you think this is about?" Keefe asked.

"Probably something dumb. Like paying to breathe." Dex mused.

"Yeah. That or sending us to Exile for no reason." Fitz said.

When we reached the main room, the twelve councilors, along with their bodyguards, were there.

"Why are we here?" Tam asked rudely.

"You are here to investigate some disturbances in the Forbidden Cities. There is a group of children reported at the places. He have files on all of them, though there may not be much to see. They seem to vanish off the face of the Earth every summer. One of them even disappeared for quite some time. Here are the files." Councilor Emery explained, handing me some papers.

Files:

Perseus Jackson: Male, Black Hair, Sea-Green Eyes
Terrorist, child delinquent, expelled from almost every school he's been, disappeared for at least eight months, dad lost at sea.

Annabeth Chase: Female, Blond Hair, Grey Eyes
Ran away at age seven, cousin died, mom disappeared without a trace.

And so on. The pictures were really blurry and you could barely make out their body shape. They are seen together a lot. The rest of the names were Thalia Grace, Jason Grace, Nico Di Angelo, Piper McLean, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang, and Grover Underwood. They are all seen together a lot and all disappear at times.

"We would like you to look more into these children. They are seen in New York the most, near explosions, earthquakes, Perseus was seen near Mt. Helens during the eruption." Councilor Emery continued.

"Will do." Keefe gave a thumbs up.

"How will we get there?" Dex asked, being the logical one.

"We have a crystal to take you there. You will be going later today. Better prepare." Councilor Terik said.

We all leaped back home to tell our parents. I went to get my purple backpack I used when I first came to the lost cities. I grabbed Ella just in case, my IPod, a couple books, my memory log, and a couple other things. I slung my backpack over my shoulder and went over to the Panakes tree to wait for my friends.

A couple minutes later, they all came, and the Council gave us a blue crystal and a pathfinder. We locked the crystal in and stepped into the light.

We arrived in a small, closed of park. There were trees all around so no one could see us light-leaping.

"Sooo... where to now?" Fitz asked, clapping his hands back and forth.

"Let's go get some food. I'm starving!" Keefe exclaimed.

"Tsk tsk tsk." I tsked. "Come on!"

I dragged them over to a Café. We ordered coffees and coffee cakes. Cake pops in Biana's case, she loves the 'WITTLE FACES.'

We ate for a little bit. Then we decided to get on with our mission.

We walked around for a little bit. When we reached the Empire State Building, I saw two teenagers running out of it. It was all just a blur, but I swear, I saw raven black hair and blond hair.

Guys! I transmitted to the group. Look! I pointed to the two people currently running down the road, almost faster than the cars.

We ran after them and ended up in an alley. I heard talking. One was a boy and one was a girl.

"I think we should." The boy said.

"And what do you think will happen if we do? Huh?" The girl sassed.

"Hey! I'm the sassy one! Deal with it!" He said in a sassy voice.

"Mhm. Now, you didn't answer my question." She reminded.

"Ohhh... you kinda caught that, huh? Anyway, I think we should because, uh, cause it will give us more... I-information!" The boy said slowly.

"Mhm. And how will it?" This girl is smart.

"Um... cause... it's just the right thing to do!" He tried.

"Ok, ok. We'll do it. But if anything goes wrong, I get to say I TOLD YOU SO!" The girl said.

"Yeah. You always do. Wisegirl." The boy laughed.

"Seaweed Brain!" The girl groaned.

They started to walk out. But a couple feet away, the footsteps stopped.

"Perce. What is it?" The girl asked.

"Someone's here." He whispered.

I gasped. We stumbled back and Dex took out an obscurer. I waved him off, wanting to know what will happen.

"Who are you?" The boy called out.

I did the only sensible thing. I punched him in the face.
