HEWWO! I own nothing but the plot, ENJOY!

KEEFE'S POV:

When Percy yelled at Hazel, I immediately put my arm around Foster out of instinct. That got a jealous look from Fitz. Percy stormed off as Hazel started crying into Frank's shoulder.

"Don't worry, he's probably just going to blow off some steam." I whispered into Foster's ear.

Piper, Frank, and Leo tried to calm Hazel down, but she kept on sobbing. I felt bad for her. Her friend just yelled at her, then jogged away after muttering a weak apology. Maybe he has Fitz anger issues?

I felt a tug at my arm and realized it was still draped over Foster. "Sorry." I murmured.

"It's alright. Right now, we need to save Annabeth." She glanced at the demigods.

"I should probably head back to Camp." Amy smiled apologetically.

"Alright." Foster said as Amy whistled, then ran to over to a big dog, that disappeared in a shadow. "Okay...? Anyways, let's come up with a plan."

"Maybe, if Percy will help, he can track the shrimpzilla. After all, it technically IS is kingdom." Jason shrugged.

"Good idea. Let's go find Percy." I started marching off when Foster grabbed me.

"Not so fast, let him be alone for maybe, oh I'd don't know, ten more minutes?" She suggested.

"Oh, alright." I pouted.

After ten minutes, we started heading over to where we last saw Percy. Sophie asked Wynn and Luna if they've seen him, and they snorted, pointing their horns at the cliffs.

When we got there, Percy was sitting on the ledge, looking at his hands. He was muttering under his breath, occasionally balling his fists up, then relaxing them. I felt bad for him. Hazel was quietly sniffling now, a few tears still streaming down her tear-stained face.

"Hey, Perce?" Piper stepped forward, putting a hand on his shoulder.

He jerked and stood up, taking out his pen. Then he realized it was us. "Sorry." He muttered.

"It's ok. We're worried about her, too." Piper tried.

Percy shook his head. "No, it's not ok. I-I shouldn't have acted like that. I'm so sorry." His eyes welled up, but he kept them back.

As I watched this, I saw so much of myself in him. Trying to tell everyone he's ok, hiding the pain. But... I can tell this because... well, it takes one to know one.

"Percy." Hazel stepped toward him, Frank hesitating to let her go. She nodded at him, and continued to walk. "It's ok. I understand why you did that... I'm sorry for doing that."

"H-Hazel, you have nothing to be sorry for! You didn't do anything. And, I'm not worried about Annabeth escaping, I know she will." He faltered.

I realized what he meant before he said it. Hazel looked at him, confused. "What do you mean?" She asked.

"I- I'm worried about her having flashbacks. Worried about her being... hurt." He said.

I knew that wasn't the whole truth, but kept quiet. Hazel looked at him with sympathy.

"I understand." She went and hugged him, and the rest of them did. Then she turned to us elves. "Come on! Join in!"

We did and it felt GREAT. So many friends, supporters, FAMILY. Oh, how it feels GREAT to have a proper family, even if it isn't perfect. It's perfect in MY eyes. *cue the song, We are Family*

I smiled in the hug. Percy was at the center. I was surprised that even Tam and Nico were hugging.

"Can't.... Breathe!" Percy gasped. We laughed and let go.

"Kelphead, always gotta ruin the moment." Thalia laughed.

"Pinecone Face, always gotta with the insults." Percy smiled slightly.

We sat down under the Panakes tree and started devising a plan, strategy for getting Annabeth back.

So sorry for the short chapter. Let's just pretend that Mrs. O Leary is now a bus for demigods. I hope you enjoyed the chapter, I realized that Keefe needed to be compared to Percy to realize how similar they really are. Keefe and Leo are really similar, too. They both hide behind jokes while Percy hides behind sarcasm, sass, smiles, kinda everything. BYEEE!
