Mattheo's POV

4 weeks after the break up

"So... are you going to the party tonight?", Theo asked me. He was sitting just across from me on the other couch with Enzo by his side, who was completely immersed in his book. Blaise and Draco were playing pool and from what I could tell, Blaise was winning because Draco seemed like he was capable of murdering someone. That guy was a poor loser.

We were all in the Slytherin common room just relaxing. It was Friday and the school week was over. Merlin be blessed!

"Of course. That party wouldn't be the same without me, would it?", I replied with a smug smile.

Theo shook his head, chuckling. To be perfectly honest, I didn't really want to go. I would rather stay in my bedroom listening to music and feeling miserable all by myself. These last few weeks were excruciating and I was still so fucking angry. Anger and pain! Two feelings that I knew all too well. They've been buried deep inside of me since I met her though. She eased the pain and soothed the ragging storm of darkness inside of me. But now? Now they were here again, since she broke up with me.

I don't love you anymore.

Those were the words she said to me. Five simple words that made my world crumble. Four weeks have passed since then, but every time I thought about them, which was every damned single day, it seemed my heart was being ripped from my chest. And it hurt like hell. But I was Mattheo Riddle, son of the Dark Lord, captain of the Quidditch team, and I wouldn't and couldn't lose face. So, I just endured it and kept it all in, going like she didn't mean anything to me anymore.

From the corner of my eye, I saw Sage approaching us from the right, apparently coming from the girls' dorms. She dropped herself on the armchair, exhaling heavily.

"OK... I'm so tired I could sleep for a full week and still be tired when I woke up!", she complained.

"You were born tired Sage. Your pet should be a slot or maybe a panda...", Enzo pointed without even lifting his eyes from the book. I just chuckled.

Sage gave him a glare that could scare most men and said, "Shut it Enzo!" and then proceeded to look at me. "You too Riddle, or I'll crucio your ass.". I just raised my hands up in the air in surrender.

"And why is our dear friend so tired? Rough night Sage?", Blaise asked from across the room with a smirk on his face, while aiming the ball with the pool cue.

"Why do you ask? Jealous I can pull more girls than you Blaise?", she went straight for the kill. We all laughed. Except Blaise of course, who missed the shot and cursed between his teeth. "But no. If you must know... I spend all afternoon helping Anna pack...". She glanced my way expecting some kind of reaction. I gave her nothing.

I knew they all still talked to Anna, especially Sage and Theo, at least when I was not around. No one talked about her though, not in front of me. No one except Sage obviously. She didn't bother to hide the fact that they were still good friends.
