Anna's POV

It was already Friday night, the night of my supposed farewell party.

Poppy and Samantha, both from Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw houses respectively, decided to organize a small gathering - that I knew was not going to be as small as how they were making it appear - in The Three Broomsticks. I told them there was no need of it but they insisted. They almost went down to their knees, begging me to let them organize it. I hated to be the center of attention, really hated. I remembered the first days (months to be quite honest) at Hogwarts, where I was the new girl, the latest and exciting news. I knew it was not usual for transfers to happen and people were curious, but still, I didn't like it. Those months were painful.

But this party... I think it was more for them - Poppy, Samantha and the rest of my friends - than to myself. So, I indulge them, because I kind of owed them. When they found out I was leaving it was a shock to them. They didn't understand why and I couldn't tell them the truth. Of course, they suspected that it had something to do with my break up with Mattheo, which was true. They just didn't know the whole story. Nobody did, except Sage.

I let out a sigh, remembering the night I told her.

I woke up that night after I had a nightmare where Valdemort killed Mattheo in front of me. It was so vivid and felt so real that I jump out from my bed crying and screaming my lungs out. Sage was there by my side before I even notice, holding me tight to her chest and rocking my body while I burst into tears. It took a while for me to calm down and be able to speak without stammering. I didn't plan to tell her. I didn't mean for anybody to know but I was so tired of keeping everything inside that I could not hold it in anymore. She stayed in my bed that night, hugging me and stroking my hair until I fell asleep again.

I looked up into the mirror and saw my tired face and the dark circles under my eyes.

Thank Merlin for cosmetics!

I was sitting at my dressing table, putting some makeup on. I looked to the bed and beheld my dress lying perfectly on top of it. It was gorgeous, a beautiful Slytherin green. The rounded skirt was just a little below the knee and the waist was adorned with a ribbon dotted with little shiny stones that resembled little diamonds. It was an almost backless dress. Just two thin straps came up above my shoulders, crossing at my back. On the floor there was a pair of high heel strap sandals. Also in a deep green.
