"Will you please stop poking me?" I growled as Ian kept pushing his finger on my sides. We were currently at his house, me trying to read Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkaban and him trying to get my attention.
"Come on, leave the damn book and pay some attention to me!" He whined and peeked over my book, to stare into my eyes. I tried to hide my amusement as I attempted to keep my conenctration on the lines of the current chapter I was reading.
"Nope." I said popping up the p. The look of annoyance he was giving me, was really making it difficult to hide my giggle. "Fine." I grumbled and set it aside, before crushing the tip of the page. I crossed my arms over my chest and kept my legs crossed. Ian's smile widened as he rested his head on my lap and looked up at me with a pouty face.
"Don't look at me like that!" I groaned and put my hands In my face. Ian chuckled and peeled my hands off, smiling up at me.
"You're beautiful . ." He whispered and looked into my eyes, making a blush creep on my face. Damn him and his beautiful eyes. I don't know how long we stared at each other, but what I knew is that I was lost into his ocean blue eyes. They looked like crystals ready to be touched. "Ariel I need to tell you something." He turned a bit pink and sat up, taking my hands in his. Oh no, oh no, oh no. Please don't tell me you love me. He softly pecked my lips, took a deep breath and started, "I think I lo--"
"Oh, look at the time!" I shot upright and grabbed my jacket quickly, "I have to go, me and the guys have to practice the songs for Valentine's party!" I chuckled nervously and put my shoes on in a hurry, almost tripping in the process.
"But Ari--" I cut him off with a peck on the lips and scrambled outside. As soon as the door closed behind me, I rested my back against the cool wood and breathed deeply in and out, trying to ease my frantically beating heart.
I seriously couldn't handle being torn between two guys saying they love me and my stupid inability to decide what I wanted. My feelings for Ryan definitely weren't something to pass by. I already knew that if I didn't like Ryan, his words actually would have went from one ear and escape from the other. I had to make a decision and quickly.
Jogging I made my way back to Ollie's house to grab my guitar and head to school for rehearse. Thank god for the head master's approval of doing our thing there.
To be honest, I hoped that she wasn't there. I didn't want to deal with that to. I quietly entered the house looking all around for any sign of my best friend. Sighing in relief that I didn't bump on her, I opened the door to my room just to find her sitting on my desk, looking through my sketches.
"What are you doing?" I found myself asking. It was rare for her to be in my room and it was even more weird that she was looking through my sketches.
Her head snapped up to me, our eyes meeting immediately. "I was just looking through.. Look, Ariel I am really sorry about yesterday. I shouldn't have been a bitch to you." She sighed sadly and closed my sketchbook carefully.
Slowly I sat down on the edge of the bed right in front of the chair, mimicking her sound of sadness. "I am sorry as well. You were right. I wouldn't acknowledge it, but now it can't leave my mind. But today Ian almost confessed at me. And I bailed him too." I run a hand through my hair in exasperation and fell back on the bed.
Ollie's eyes widened and she quickly scrambled next to me. "He did what?! And by the way you should stop being a chicken when it comes to guys." She scolded me like a mother would scold her daughter.
I pouted and stared at her. "If I didn't feel something for Ryan that wouldn't have happened.."
"Well that isn't entirely bad you know. He's been around a lot more than Ian but you got more intrigued by him because he acted like a jerk to you." Ollie retorted while I grinned at my own stupidity. "I say that you should take a break from both of them for a while so you can clear things out." She finished and I sighed.
