(Y/n)'s POV:
TEAM W vs TEAM Z
Game time finally came and for this game I volunteered to be a goalie, which made Iemon so happy, he bear hugged me almost squeezing the life out of me.
Out of all the matches, this is one of the many matches that stood out to me. Because back when I read it, it honestly pissed me off what Kuon did to his own team, as well as the Wanima's chatters. They seriously can't shut the fuck up, especially the one with the creepy smile.
It was dirty of Kuon sure, but in a way I see where he's coming from.
I secure the gloves as the team and I exit into the field, the light making me squint, "Why's it so god damn bright." eventually my vision clear up and I see team W, doing their last stretches before the kickoff.
I then hear a whistle, "Daaaamn, didn't know we had a chick in this facility!~" one of the boy on the other team catcalled. I was going to flip them the bird, but the guys all huddle up beside me with Naruhaya draping an arm over my shoulders along with Igarashi, "You stay away from our VIP!" Igarashi exclaimed, "Yeah! She's off limit suckers!" Imamura hissed.
"She'll tear off your fucking heads. I'm warning you." Raichi nonchalantly said with arms crossed and a bored look. The boys from the other team smirked but left to get into position. With that out of the way, we also get into our position.
I could feel my hands shake, but that's fine, I just need to block the crucial ones.
After giving my legs a good stretch, I straighten up to meet eye to eye with Chigiri. He give a look of worry to which I respond with a half smile, "C'mon now Chigiri. We gotta focus on the game. It's 'bout to start." he averted his gaze then turn to face the front.
"Alright...here we go..." I whispered.
KICKOFF!!
The game begin with the twin in possession of the ball.
Man, even just seeing them is already annoying me.
Anyways, with their coordination, they manage to bypass everyone, heading straight towards Chigiri and Isagi. On their way here, I happen to overheard their conversation, "Your football career is already oveeer." I quickly retort back angrily, "Hey! Keep that up and I will end your football career myself you joker lookin' ass!" Joker dude looks at me, "Buzz off, number 12! Someone like you should just stay put and do what they're told!" Just then Isagi manage to steal the ball from crocodilebrow.
Joker proceed to translate crocodilebrow's "words" as in eyo that a foul you punk! And Isagi was just like And? Fuck you. Isagi then face flamin' hot cheeto and give his epic mc speech.
"Isagi is a flirt and he doesn't even realize it." I snickered to myself.
As the game goes on, from where I am, I watch closely the enemies moves and I noticed it right away. They weren't even trying, letting Kuon score a goal. "Tch."
Team Z cheers for their first goal.
Isagi's excited screams reaches my ears, "Why the long face, (y/n)? We just scored!" I glance at Isagi then Chigiri, "....It just felt too good to be true...Scoring in the first couple of minutes...Usually that's not how it goes..." I perk up seeing the twin on the move once more, "Here they come!" the duo got back on focus mode.
Chigiri being focused was new to me.
Anyways, the twin easily got their ball stolen, which was obviously on purpose, by both Kunigami and Bachira. I frown when Bachira sent the ball to Kuon, and what do you know? He kick it in, earning us another point.
"Huh...it does seemed somewhat planned for some reason..." I heard Isagi muttered before his brows knitted as his head snap to me, "When you said "Beware of snake" are you actually implying something?..." my eyes locked with his then at Kuon, "I'm just saying but...Kuon seemed off when he got back from his supposed "shower". Like, I get that shower thoughts is a thing but man...." Isaigi and Chigiri's expression turned concern. "Kuon definitely took forever to take a shit." the both of them sweatdrop at my last comment.
I had to play it off though, or else they'll question how I even knew this information and if I knew why I wouldn't tell them. If I do, I don't know how that'll impact Chigiri's development, thus I want to avoid that. So, the best way is to keep quiet and pretend to analyze.
I glance at the clock. 15 minutes left on the clock, it's Froggo Gagamaru, Raichi and Naruhaya, with the ball, were up.
"Remember to keep your composure Raichi!" his head swivel to me with a smirk, "Hah! Right back at cha!" we both share a smirk right before the game resume and early on, crocodilebrow grab the back of Naruhaya's jersey.
I couldn't but shout at him, "Oi! Hands off my boi!" crocodilebrow glares at me before jogging away while Naruhaya give me a thumbs up.
Then comes the penalty shot.
Bachira readies himself and after much analyzing, he shot the ball to Kuon.
Guess what? That's right a score. "Golly me." I commented in a dead voice.
Thus, concluded the first half...
