As we finally arrive at the center along with other players, it didn't took long for them to realized that others had the same letter in which are the teams who were supposed to be eliminated. I quickly glance around and notice a couple of familiar faces including Nagi and Reo whom my team just played against.
Eyes laying on someone in particular, I had to double take since I thought I literally saw Nicky Minaj, but it was just Shido. He notice my gaze and stares back with a smirk and a wink. I slowly look away.
As I look away I happen to meet Reo's eyes and as though on instinct, he glares. I stiffly looked away pretending I didn't saw him in the first place. Unfortunately, they landed on Baro and he was already looking at me dead in the eyes. I eventually avert my eyes upward as I scooch to hide behind Gagamaru.
Ego proceed to make a zoom call and drop a truth bomb that only the fifth stratum existed in blue lock. Panic at the disco ensue. I rest my hands on my hips with an easy going sigh, ".........This is fine." NOT.
I decided to tune out everything since it wasn't that interesting to listen to begin with and draw random shapes with my eyes. Hunger for victories.....I forgot how that felt like anymore...
"Now for my next point. Since there's an extra player in this facility, this player will have a few special rules attach to them." Now this caught my attention, because I know full well who this "person" is. Me bitches-
"If they pass the first stage of the second selection, they'll get to chose which team to be in." Oh, so I get to pick, wait, I should be thinking about getting out of here! "Whatever thoughts you got going. Think again." Fuck, he read my mind.
This obviously made the others confused, but I knew he directed it at me.
"So, you may asked: won't that make team of four instead of three? How would that be fair for the team with three players. You lots discuss that amongst yourselves, you're smart enough to do that. Anyways, if the team, in which this player is in, loses. The opposing team are given the choice to choose either one or two players. If it happens that the extra player's team win, in this case, one player can be chosen to keep the balance." He then points at me, " This rule applies to the extra player and only the extra player. Which is you, (y/n)." All eyes avert to me.
Ok damn Ego you didn't need to put me on blast holy fuck!
I stared back at everyone with a lazy gaze, ".....What? Want a picture?" they immediately looked away and soon whispers could be heard. I gave ego an unimpressed look before tuning out my surrounding once more, but also due to my half asleep state, I found myself nodding to sleep until a loud sound of a ball colliding resonated, snapping me back to reality, as I glance around confused, "....What happened? What did I miss?" Gagamaru grasp my cheeks and turn it towards, "Oh." Rin, the ultimate edgelord. Everyone in the room went ong what the fuuuuck???? Did he just do that???? (insert pointing at Rin with jaw dropping)
"Open the door. I've finished warming up." and thus he disappeared behind the doors of doom and his name shows on the screen in a bold ITOSHI RIN.
"Itoshi...one of the top 11 in the world of the new generation?!" I deadpan at Igarashi, "Did you even read what's on the screen?" Imamura then joins in, "Yeah. The guy you mentioned is Itoshi Sae." Igarashi start to look nervous, "If that's not him...Then who the hell is he?" I deadpan again, "His brother??? Hello?? Igarashi are you with us??? Can you see what's on the screen?? Do you need glasses??" Igarashi snaps back, "Hey! I'm tired okay?!!" I throw my hands up, "And so are we!"
Isagi came grasping Igarashi's shoulder, "There there, what are you talking about, Igaguri?" Igarashi looks over at him, "Remember...in the match against team V...We were the ones who were amazing right?" Isagi's words reaffirms Igarashi's confidence, "True...my...my face block was insane!" Then Kunigami joins in beside Isagi, "My goal was sicker. I even earn the title the coolest." Bachira then butts in, "Nah, nah. Coolest? My dribbling itself was waay cooler." Chigiri comes into the circle, "Don't kid yourself. Plus we agree to share the spotlight didn't we? After all, we would've lost without my speed." Raichi barges in pointing at himself, "What?! We won because I defended the mid-court!" Imamura pipes in, "My defense was great too!" Kuon exclaims next, "Me...me too...I stopped them and got a red card." Naruhaya comes with an easy-going smile, "Hey! That's not right!" Kuon sweated knowing his statement was lame. "I did a lot to help us win. A lot..." Gagamaru quietly trails off after making his own statement, "Don't forget my amazing save!" Iemon basically screamed.
