Chapter three

Of course, it would've been easier to block him but that didn't seem right. Even though what he did to me was horrible.

I wasn't sure how to feel. How could a person that I trust do something like this. it didn't surprise me with him on coke these past few weeks.

A week had passed and he had given up on calling and messaging me. Not that I would know though. My phone had been shut off.

Rafe almost couldn't believe his eyes when he ran into me at the beach. I acted like I didn't see him, I walked straight past him.

"What the fuck Riley? So you're just going to act as if you didn't see me!" He says as peoples heads turn to look at us.

"Don't you do this right now!" I told him

"Do what?"

"Don't cause a fucking scene here in the middle of the damn beach."

"Then talk to me. That's all I ask Riley."

"What could you possibly say to me? You're sorry for raping me!" I asked him

"Can we go and talk about this?"

"I don't want to talk to you!"

And with that I walked away from him and head back home again.

I heard a knock on the door and I open it but there is nobody there.

I looked on the ground and see an envelope as I go to pick it up.

Dear Riley,

I fucked up, again. I know what I did was wrong on so many levels.... . I'm sorry from the bottom of my heart. I promise I'll work through my issues but i'd like you to forgive me if you can.

A single tear fell onto the piece of paper that I was holding in my hand.

I grabbed my keys and rushed out of the door to go to his house and talk.

I softly knocked on his door waiting for him to call out for me.

"Riley." He said softly

"I read your letter." Rafe didn't say anything just looked down at me.

"I know that you were high out of your mind that night so I'm going to let it go."

"Are you serious?"

"Yes. But I won't forget it. You have one chance."

"Okay." He nodded

He pulled me into a hug and I felt my heart racing from the sudden sensation.

I pulled away from him and said my goodbyes as I head back home again.

"Where have you been?" Topper asked

"I was just out for a walk." I lied

"Oh okay." He nodded at me

"I'm going to my room." I told him

"Good night." He smiled

I walked upstairs to my room closing the door and laid down on my bed.
