Pilot(Part 1)
2009
Water drained down on Clarissa's body like rain. But you couldn't actually compare taking a shower with standing in the rain.
The smell was missing. The smell that was so incredibly difficult to describe.
The blonde girl always liked the smell of rain. Quiet and free. The exact opposite of her.
Because no one who really knew her would describe Clarissa with those two words.
When she stepped out of the shower and walked into her room with a towel wrapped around her body, someone was already there.
It was a young woman wearing an old-fashioned white and blue dress with her hair tied up elaborately. She looked interestedly at one of Clarissa's drawings that lay on the nightstand.
Once Clarissa knew someone was in her room, she wrapped the towel tighter around her body. "Wow. Hannah, you're still here. After you didn't show up for the last two weeks, I thought I'd get rid of you.", she said casually.
Hannah studiously ignored the statement and pointed with her index finger at the picture she had just been looking at. "I was almost shocked when I saw that. Should that be me? Your drawing skills didn't really improve while I was in Tokyo."
Clarissa didn't respond to Hannah's comment about her drawing skills, she knew she wasn't good at it. "You were in Japan? What were you doing there?", she asked her blonde friend, while she looked for today's clothes from a drawer.
It was the first day of school after the summer holidays and Clarissa was now in her junior year.
"You know. Watching tourists, spying on tourists and stuff like that. Spying is so much easier when you can't be seen. You know?", Hannah explained.
In the meantime she had turned to Clarissa, who was now looking at her with amusement.
"Not really, because I'm seen by the people around me," she said, then turned around and went into the bathroom to change.

When Clarissa entered the school three quarters of an hour later, her only wish was to turn around and go home. She had never liked school, but ever since her best friend moved away, things had gotten worse.
For a few months now she had been trying to convince her mother to let her move in with her father, but the answer was always the same.
No.
Clarissa felt trapped in Mystic Falls. She wasn't allowed to leave. She still had two years of high school to finish.
Hannah appeared next to Clarissa as she walked down the hallway. "And here we are again. Hell High School. That's what they should call this institution. I'm glad I only went to school for four years."
Clarissa brimmed with disbelief. "Wait. You only went to school four years? How unfair. What have you been doing all those years?"
She didn't care about her classmates around her. They all thought she were crazy anyway.
That was because of Hannah.
Clarissa met her for the first time at the beginning of May this year. It quickly became clear who she was. Hannah was an ancestor of Clarissa and had been dead for almost 90 years.
Although it was scary enough for the sixteen year old to be able to talk to her dead ancestor, there was something else she learned.
Hannah told her about the supernatural beings around her. Witches and vampires. Hannah herself was the latter.
