Chapter 4

N's POV

As I flew through the city, I noticed the black sheen of oil on the ground. I swooped down low to see what It was when I spotted the mangled regenerating corpse of V. "OH MY GOSH V!!" I shouted in worry as she finished regenerating. "What happened!!" I yelled as she finished rebooting "Ah! move N" She said sitting up rubbing " I was attacked ok" She said in an annoyed tone "By what!" I said my voice filled with worry. "Some weird drone" she responds dejectedly,I look at her confused "It was like, really tall, could teleport and was crazy strong" She continued.

'Better keep an eye out for that' I think

Alex's POV

We decided to make the house we had stopped in our base for the time being. Doll was helping me fortify the walls with concrete and Nora was cleaning up the debris. We finished it in less than a day and started furnishing the house. I was taking Doll to one of the nearby stores to look for things she might want, as we turned the corner we came across a large mirror. All of a sudden our left eyes flashed a strange symbol and the mirror shattered, causing us to jump back in surprise.'Weird' I thought as we kept on moving, Doll being a little more jumpy the rest of the trip. Once we finished we returned back to the base to find a confused Nora standing in front of a shattered mirror."What happened?" I asked as she turned to face us. "I don't know, I was setting up the mirror and some weird thing flashed on my eye and it shattered" She explained "Hmmm, that happened to us to, weird" I said "Wait I have an idea" Reaching into my back pocket I pulled out multiple shards of the mirror. "Everyone look at it and see if it shatters" I said, staring at my piece. Almost instantly my left eye flashed, shattering the mirror. The same thing happened to Nora and Doll, who gave a small yip in surprise. I quickly went to work, using things I found on the way to make three eyepatches. They were dark crimson and matched, I handed one to Nora and another to Doll then I put mine on. "Cool" I heard Nora say. We smiled at each other, maybe life wasnt so bad
