Ruki didn't like how his brothers were crowding her and glared at them. "Will you all just back away from her?"

They did without question as Ruki gave her what she wanted to eat. She smiled at Ruki before she took the plate that he had only for him to take her hands from it and placed it on the island of the kitchen instead.

"You aren't hurting yourself more with things like that Eve, I don't wish for more harm to come to you." Ruki said before he held her right arm up to his lips softly and kissed it softly. "Seeing you protecting me like you did yesterday was something I didn't expect; you really are full of surprises aren't you?"

"No one ever pays attention to me Ruki, I am doing what I always do. Just now you give me reason to do something. I always protect those who I deem worthy of my time, you speak to me like I'm just another person to you. Not some broken piece of crap that some vampire saved as a child." She said as she looked down sadly

"A vampire saved you?" Kou asked

She nodded her head. "I was taken in by a family when I was just a child. I didn't know what I was until I realized that I was a vampire when I smelled the blood from the mother of the couple that took me in. I asked them questions about it when I could and their son heard." Eve said sadly before she pulled her hand from Ruki and she began to tear up. "He had made a cross from wood and placed barb wire chains around my wrists, ankles and neck. I was left there for months, I couldn't speak or move or I'd bleed to death. The son abused my body with a whip and in the end just taunted me with words until Karlheins found me and saved me. I have marks on my back from what that awful human did."

"You realize we were all once humans right?" Yuma asked

"Yes, but Ruki and you guys are different, you don't try to torture me to death, you wouldn't do horrible things to me just to kill me." Eve said as she sniffled a bit

Ruki stopped her from speaking by feeding her what he made, he didn't like hearing her past even though he knew that he'd sooner or later know all about it. Why she was adopted, why she was tortured in the way that she was and why it was just her for her family now. After feeding her Eve had asked Ruki to take her to the library. Without question he did as she said goodbye to the three males she met that where his brothers before being carried once again by Ruki. She enjoyed actually being noticed by someone that actually was going to love her. She nuzzled herself against his neck as she inhaled his scent which drove her crazy.

But she had a good hold on herself and kept herself from biting him by shuffling herself so her head was on his other shoulder instead. Ruki felt her breath against his neck and didn't like the entire idea of her trying to bite him. He was thankful that she had moved her head to his other shoulder, he was going to have to talk to her about it. He wasn't down with her biting him, unless she needed to, she wasn't placing her fangs into his neck.

Once they got to the library Reiji was there looking for a certain book. He stopped when he saw Eve and one of the half breeds. He scoffed as he saw the two, he never liked Eve and he wasn't liking the Mukami brother's either. After trying to calm down Kanato from his crazy episode from losing his teddy he wasn't so sure that the Mukami brothers should be there. But he knew why they were there and knew that them going after Yui was what was implanted into their heads.

"Eve what reason do you come here for?" Ruki asked curiously

"I read here...duh. I love reading as a past time, unlike Reiji there who only reads when it values him I do it because I love to get the hell out of this shit hole. But I'm sworn to be in this place until my job here is done." Eve said as she pointed to Reiji as she said his name.

Reiji went up to her and placed a book on the top of her head. "You happen to know what happened to the Adam and Eve book would you Eve?" Reiji asked

"I'm reading it; why do you want to read it? It isn't something you'd be interested in." Eve said seriously
