"Evan why are you in a tree for?" Subaru asked as he looked up to the purple haired male.

"Its fun, plus I'm hiding from my elder brothers. They're so mean." Evan said looking down to him

Subaru climbed up the tree and sat beside Evan. "You know I don't understand why your brother's are so mean to you."

"I do...I get scared easily and if I'm frightened enough I cry...They like seein' me cry."

Subaru frowned at the purple haired male. "I'll protect you from them."

Evan looked to him in shock. "Y-You will?"

"Mhm, you're my best friend. I'll keep you from harm, promise."

He happily hugged his friend before Evan smiled a bit at the albino. "Hey Baru, I have a secret to tell you."

Subaru rose an eyebrow at the male. "What might that be?"

Evan got closer to Subaru and whispered to him. "I can turn female."

Subaru looked to him as if he was crazy. "No you can't!"

"Yes I can! I'll show you too!" He said before he kissed his best friend on the lips

In shock Subaru didn't know what to do but to return it back. When Evan didn't turn female he pouted. "I know I can!"

"Evan! We're leaving now sweetie!" His mother said happily

"Kay mom! Later Baru!" Evan said before he left jumping out of the tree.

Once home Evan was chased by his brothers into the pool behind the house which when he tried to stop himself from going in two of his brother's pushed him into it making his eyes go wide in fear as he felt his body turn form and his hair and eyes turn color. His once purple hair was brown and his eyes changed from brown to purple as his voice turned high pitched.

Evan passed out as his father went into the water to get him, once out of the water he saw that his youngest son turned female. He dried her off and gave her cpr before he saw her eyes, once she threw up blood and water she refused to speak for awhile. Once she was to go back to the Sakamaki house hold she introduced herself as eve. None of them wanted anything to do with her so she just looked at the flowers until she was pushed into the flowers by one of her brothers.

"Stupid evan why did you have to turn female! We can't do anything now because of you!"

Subaru heard Evan's name being said and looked to the female. He remembered what his friend said weeks ago and chased the elder siblings off before helping his friend up.

"Are you okay?"

She blushed and nodded her head. "T-thank y-you."

"Um....Do you want to play a game with me?"

Her purple eyes went wide with joy as she smiled at the male. "Y-Yes."

The two of them played together until she had to leave. When she left subaru knew that something wasn't right, he went to his mother about the problem he had and he only got her being in hysterics once more. So instead he went to Cordellia hoping she could help him only to get brushed off, he was getting pissed off that he had been brushed off so he went to Beatrice only to get a small smile from her and her explaining what Evan's family could do.

His eyes went wide when he found out that Evan wasn't lying. Eve was his best friend...he knew if he saw her again he'd have to do whatever it took to protect her. Years later subaru heard about the death of Eve's family but didn't hear anything about her, he waited years to hear anything about her but it wasn't until he saw his father come home for once to drop off a young brunette girl. Subaru watched her as she was in a coma until she woke up, when she did he made sure that he protected her until he realized as they got older how attractive she was.

He pushed back the fact that she was actually male for the fact that as a female she was too beautiful for words, he hated how much he cared and loved her and made sure that she hated him so they'd never end up together.

When Eve woke up she panted out heavily before she realized that she was lying beside Kanato. She knew that it was dangerous to even think about being around the Sakamaki brothers, but she had known them for awhile. Her dreams gave her back memories that she had long forgotten. She closed her eyes once more as she placed her arm over her eyes.

"Are you okay?" Kanato said concerned as he looked to her sadly

She took her arm from her eyes as she looked to her best friend. "Mhm, Just a bad nightmare that seemed too real. I've been having them a lot as of late. Nothing I can't handle Kanato no need to worry."
