Chapter 43

I blinked my eyes.

"Mind answering the question now, Ms. Brooks?" My teacher asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Uhhh.. yeah... let me uh..." the bell rang and we were dismissed. Thank god.

I remembered Grayson wanted to talk to me after class. Like, for real this time. My arms became crowded with goosebumps. I started to walk out the door fast. Now it was like I was the one ignoring him.

As soon as I thought I had gotten away, a felt a warm hand land on my shoulder turning me towards him. It was Grayson.

I heard the words bounce in my head. Love is never real. Love is never real.

"Jessica, if you could please just give me 2 minutes to explain-"

"There's nothing to explain, Grayson!"

"Jess-"

"Just leave me alone Grayson! Please. Leave me alone!"

I felt tears blur my eyes as I walked in the other direction. I passed Alex. He turned towards me. I started to cry. All I did was hug him. Tight.

OKAY GUYS! I KNOW YOU ALL ARE SUPER MAD AT ME BECAUSE I HAVENT UPDATED IN LIKE FOREVER!!! SO LET ME EXPLAIN: I had logged out of my account for a while because I had a lot of lagging/other issues going on. Plus, there was some people commenting and messaging me hate which kinda made me upset and insecure about my writing. I'm sorry if my story isn't perfect.. this is the first one I've ever written. :/
Anyway, I logged out of my account. When I went to log back in a week or two later, I couldn't log back in because my password was invalid. It took me a while to finally retrieve my account... but I'm back now!! Sorry this was a super short chapter, I just wanted to have some more content ready for you guys asap!!
