Pregnant

Starting a family with Archie.

You and Archie had been together for a couple years now. He was the best boyfriend you could ever ask for...well best fiance you can now say.

Archie proposed to you in December. You both were ice skating under the Christmas lights, and he got down on one knee right there on the ice.

It was funny watching him struggle to get down and up from the ice but god was it romantic. Everyone was cheering and you just started bawling.

After the proposal you and Archie had gotten even more close. You both weren't rushing for the wedding, instead you were just enjoying each other.

You loved laying with him underneath the fuzzy blankets. You watched some of his favorite shows with him and even though you didn't like them yourself you didnt care. You just wanted to be with him.

One morning you stirred awake feeling nauseous. You looked over at Archie who was fast asleep, his snoring and your nausea had woken you up earlier than usual.

You rushed to the bathroom before emptying the contents of your stomach.
"Oh god..."
You whispered before feeling the nausea come back. You had realized right there what it was.

"Oh god no...." You repeated before looking at yourself in the mirror.
You were about to have a panic attack.

Soon you would be staring down at the pregnancy test with two faint lines.
After your morning sickness you had quietly rushed out to the store. Thankfully Archie was still sleeping by the time you got back.

You couldnt believe what you were seeing. You just had to tell archie. You couldn't wait. You were afraid he would get upset.

You quietly made your way back to your bedroom. On Archie's off days he usually slept in late. You had the test in your hands and held it behind your back.

As your knees pressed into the bed Archie's eyes fluttered open.

"Goodmorning baby," he groaned as he stretched. He noticed your eyes looked puffier than usual.

"You alright?" He said when he noticed you not responding.

You nodded and smiled a little trying to ease his concern.

"Archie..."

When you said his name he knew it was serious. You always called his baby, babe or Arch. Rarely Archie.

Before you could continue you started crying. He quickly got up and wrapped his arms around you. Without hesitation his first instinct was to hug you.

"I'm here baby..." he said, rubbing your back. He was now really concerned about what was going on and now he was almost afraid to ask.

"I'm pregnant" you sobbed.
Archie pulled away to see your face, his eyes widened.

"Your-"

"Yes im pregnant look Archie" you showed him the test and he looked down on it, his finger gracing over the faint lines. When he heard the word pregnant his heart dropped.

"Oh my god baby- that's-... Amazing, are you not happy?"

You were shocked by his reaction. So shocked that it made you stop crying. His happy expression made you feel relieved.

"Come here" he said, pulling you in to hug you once more.

"I thought you were going to be mad..."
You said against his chest.

"Baby I'm so happy right now you don't even understand" you looked up at him noticing that he was getting emotional himself.

You always wanted a baby but you were always scared it was the wrong timing .
You and Archie had talked about kids before and you both wanted them.

"I'm really happy too i was just... so scared to tell you"

You could feel how fast his heart beat was. You could tell Archie was genuinely happy. He had that same reaction when he sees his favorite cars (😂)

"Oh my god I can't believe it... I'm gonna be a dad..." Archie said, holding onto you even tighter. He didn't want to let you go.

He wondered if that's why you two have been so close lately. You were constantly cuddling and laying besides each other. It was probably his fatherly instincts he thought.

You stood there quietly, head places against his chest.

"And you're gonna be the best mommy ever" he said kissing you softly. He then moved his hands
down towards your stomach and he rubbed your belly softly.

He leaned down, even though he was so tall he could barely reach your belly. Somehow he made it work. He placed a kiss on your stomach.

"And you're going to have the best parents in the world" Archie whispered to your stomach.

It was then you knew that you had picked the perfect person to start a family with.
