Sweet and short; will make more of this baby series I think it's so cute.

On May 18 you and Archie welcomed your first baby, a beautiful baby girl. After months of thinking of names,  both decided to name her Zoe.

Parenting was harder than you expected, especially during times you were tired. All the stress the baby had done to your body made you just want to sleep all day.

Sometimes you felt really bad about yourself, about your physical body too. You found yourself weighing your weight constantly. Archie always wrote post it notes and stuck them on your scale when you were away.

"What this says doesn't matter, you are forever beautiful to me" One of the post its read.
It made you emotional to realize how lucky you got. You knew that both you and Archie would raise an amazing woman.

Your eyes fluttered open slowly. Archie was shirtless, his body stretched out over the bed. You watched as his chest rose and collapsed. The sheets were hanging off his body.

Archies eyes opened slowly, it was as if he sensed you were up too. You woke up in pain, almost everything hurt.

Your back hurt, your chest hurt, it was a mess.
Your baby was crying loudly in the other room. She had been crying for a couple minutes now.

"Please..." you said, noticing Archie was up. Hearing you once was all that he needed to know you needed help.

Archie always helped you out with the baby (btw the bare minimum for dads smh) he was a really good dad.

Archie made his way into the beautiful nursery that you both painted. The baby was crying and squirming around.

"Shhhh" he gently picked the baby up, rocking her in his arms. Instantly Zoe had calmed down.

With Zoe's small ear pressed up against his chest she could hear his gentle heartbeat.
Of course the adults didn't know this, but Zoe knew which parent was holding her based on their heart beat.

She calmed and relaxed in his arms. Archie brought her to the bedroom.
Instinctively you sat up to hold her.

"It's okay baby I got it"
Archie said, rocking her gently.

He gently lowered himself down to the bed. Archie was tall, but he was so gentle. It amazed you at how gentle he was being someone his size.

You closed your eyes in peace knowing that your two favorite people in the world lied right next to you.

Baby Zoe slept peacefully between you both. Every 5 minutes you would wake up again to see if she was okay.

Being a new mom was hard but you couldn't imagine it without Archie by your side.
