I nodded as I followed my family to where we were supposed to greet Prince Luan and his companions.

I swallowed hard as Prince Luan walked up to where we were waiting.

"Greetings Prince Luan, welcome to the Northern Duchy" My mother said kindly.

He gave her a polite nod of thanks as he studied our mansion.

"Wow it beautiful here" Lady Sienna announced from behind him.

My face was pale as I reached out to hold onto Rin for support.

"Whats wrong Crystal?" Rin asked softly. "I think I need to return to my room" I replied.

"Oh Lady Crystal I'm very happy I get to finally meet you" Lady Sienna chirped.

She suddenly frowned when she saw me holding my swollen belly.

"Are you married? Who's the father?" She asked wide eyed.

"She is not married, and she refuses to tell anyone who the father is" Rin grumbled.

"So that means she's a slut?" Lady Cherry sneered from beside her sister.

"She is not" Rin argued looking pissed. "Yes she is I bet she sleeps around with everyone" Lady Cherry said laughing.

Everyone outside of the Northern Duchy giggled with agreement.

Rin reached for his sword his eyes narrowed with anger.

"Rin don't" I murmured touching his shoulder. "But she called you a slut" Rin grumbled.

I looked him straight in the eyes "I only ever slept with one man and that was a total accident" I said sharply.

"Don't let her words get to you" I added with a soft smile on my face.

He let out a long sigh as he dropped his hand away from his sword.

"Fine" he muttered with a deep scowl on his face.

I gave him another soft smile as I turned and started to walk towards my room.

I could feel everyone's sneering gaze on me as I left....
