Eddie x Gaege ~ A killer?

Chapter 5: Surprise!!

I groggily opened my eyes, feeling like I was high or something. My vision was slightly blurred, and I could see Eddie asleep on the chair near the foot of my bed. I groaned and shifted slightly in the bed. There were pillows all around me and I grabbed one, cuddling into it. There was a soft blanket covering my upper half. It was still Winter in Florida, so the room was freezing. I wasn't awake for long, quickly falling back asleep. I awoke again to see Eddie arguing with someone. I squeezed my eyes for a moment then sat up slowly, getting a better look about what was going on. I recognized the man Eddie was arguing with has someone who really wanted to join gangs with me, but I denied has he was a piece of shit. He then threatened my life and everyone I loved lives and I beat his ass. "I said no, you can't come in." I heard Eddie speak. "I don't give a-" I cleared my throat and put a deathly glare on my face, aimed right past Eddie's head and straight into the guy's eyes. "What do you want?" I asked, watching him glare back. He scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Giving you one last chance. So, what do you say?" He had a cocky look on his face. "Fuck. No." He furrowed his brows. "G, c'mon. You know I love ya. Just do it." Eddie glanced my way, an unreadable look in his eyes. "You know what," I said, throwing off the blankets and forcing every single ache in my body away and walked right up to him, going in front of Eddie to protect him from this piece of shit. "I'm gonna give ya one last chance. Fuck off out of my life, or I'll beat your fucking ass. Again." I couldn't seem to stop my smirk at the last part. He glared down at me, has he was much taller, but I stood my ground. I heard a click from behind him and already knew what he was gonna do. I held Eddie behind me and set my hand under the gown, trying to make him believe I had a gun on me. He scoffed and let down. "Your fucking huge ass ego is gonna get you killed; I'd watch my back from now on if I were you." He tried to walk out just to be met with Luno, a pistol in her hand aimed right at his head. "Threaten boss again and there is gonna be hell to pay." I smiled to myself, thank fuck for her. He glared at her and pushed past her, walking out the building. I felt the consequences of getting up so fast start to catch up with me, and almost fell, but Eddie caught my arm. He helped me back to my bed and set me down. I swung my legs over the bed and laid back down. "Thanks, Luno." She nodded and sat down, putting the gun that Eddie hadn't noticed into her pocket. "What was all that about?" Eddie asked me. "Crazy business owner. He wants to share my business, but he has a different idea for it than me." Eddie nodded and rested his head on my lap. 

About four days later I was released from hospital and was in the car I bought for Eddie. Luno was sitting in the backseat on her phone, and I was resting in the front seat, looking out the window. Eddie was focusing on driving. "Thanks for the car, you didn't have to." I smiled to myself. "No problem, I just thought you might like your own instead of borrowing from your dad." His hands tensed a little, but he released his grip and relaxed. This piqued my interest. "Did...something happen?" Eddie shook his head and smiled at me, resting his hand on my thigh, causing butterflies to swarm my stomach. "It's nothing to worry about, just worry about getting better." I felt a little upset at the fact that he wouldn't tell me, but I guess this is probably how he feels sometimes. The drive home was peaceful, not much talking happened after that. When we got to the house, Eddie parked in my garage and quickly ran out and into the house. Luno slowly followed and I opened the door, slowly getting out of my car. I walked a few steps, stumbling a little when Eddie ran back to get me. "Here, let me help." He placed his arm around my shoulder and helped me walk to the front door of my house. He opened the door for me, and we both walked inside together. Suddenly a bunch of people jumped out and yelled, "Surprise!!!" In unison. I jumped a little and my eyes widened. Eddie's mom and his little sister were here, Lindsey was even here, but so was... Grant, Mully and Josh? "Awe thanks guys, but you really didn't need to." I said, smiling. "It was all Eddie's idea." Grant said, going up and shaking my hand. Mully and Josh came up behind him. "Listen, Gaege, we're really sorry about how we've treated you. I don't have an excuse for my behavior, and I truly am sorry." I smiled kindly at Josh and placed my hand on his shoulder. "Dude, it's all good." He smiled back and they walked away. I walked with everyone to my lounge where there were a few get well soon gifts on the table, popcorn, homemade pizza and a movie ready to play. My eyes slightly watered and my heart was pained from all the caring and kindness I felt. I had a strange feeling to guilt, not wanting them to do so much for me, but I shoved the toxic thoughts away. Eddie's mom gave me a huge hug and I hugged her back. "Thank you, all of you. I really do appreciate it." Eddie went to sit with everyone else and Josh came up to me. His eyes were glossy, and he didn't look at me. "T-thank you for saving my life, sorry it put yours at risk. Here's your knife back." I smiled and took it, slipping it into my boxer strap. "It's not a problem, but let's make a huge deal." Josh nodded. "Anything, I practically owe you my life at this point." "Well, you know how I sort of killed those people there." He nodded. "And I knew where they were gonna be." He looked at me. "Yeah?" I continued. "Well, I kind of kill really bad people for money. I need you to keep every single thing a secret. You CANNOT tell a single person. Everyone is a danger to me and if they knew, it would be very very bad." He nodded. "Okay, I can do that." I patted his shoulder. "That night never happened, okay?" "Okay." I sent him a smile and he returned it. I decided to leave out the part where if he told anyone I'd hunt him down personally and kill him myself as I think that would scare him to the point where he would slip up or get the cops involved. I sat down with the rest of the people and ate some food and watched the movie. I invited everyone to stay the night, even giving them all separate rooms, but Josh insisted that Mully and him sleep in the same room to 'save up space'. I shrugged and let them do whatever. Eddie said he was going to sleep with me, and I nodded. Eddie and I stayed in the lounge after everyone left to their rooms. I stood up and started cleaning, Eddie helping me out. "Thanks Ed, I had a lot of fun." He smiled and continued cleaning up. When we were done, Eddie grabbed my hand and brought me up to my room and closed the door. I slowly walked to the bed and sat down, facing my closed bathroom door. My heart fell as I remembered the mess I had made in there and it probably hadn't been cleaned it up. Since I was kinda in hospital. Fuck, all the dried blood... I began stressing as Eddie came in front of me and kneeled down. He grabbed both my hands in his and smiled at me. "Gaege, I have something I need to tell, and ask you." I looked into his eyes and smiled. "Go ahead." He smiled at me. "So, I know we only met like a week ago, but I really like you. I like you more than a friend, and I want to be more than just friends. So, Gaege, will you be my boyfriend?" My cheeks flushed pink, and I giggled a little. I had a stupidly wide smile on my face, and I nodded. "Yes, I'd love to be your boyfriend." Eddie chuckled at how I was reacting and hugged my waist gently. I smiled down at him and wrapped my arms around him. He got up and went to open the bathroom door, I didn't even comprehend what he did until I heard the door click. Too love struck I suppose. "Eddie wait-" He swung the door open and went side. "Yeah, what was that?" He asked turning around. A sigh of relief passed through me has I saw everything was clean. "It was nothing." Eddie shrugged and closed the door, starting to shower. I got fully into the bed and laid peacefully down. A few moments later I felt Eddie get into the bed and wrap his arm around me and we both fell asleep.
