Eddie and I woke up early the next morning and got ready for the day. While Eddie was downstairs packing his school bag, I was in my room getting dressed. A tank top with some jeans. I went to my cupboard and got a leather jacket. My eyes dart across the room and I spot my gun on the ground next to the bed. My thoughts beckoned me, almost begging me to bring it but I ended up shrugging and kicking it under the bed. I've been fine the whole of this year; last year, and all the other years. Nothing is going to happen. I ran downstairs and into the kitchen and took out our lunches, shoving mine into my bag and handing Eddie's to him. I drank my cup of coffee quickly and started eating a breakfast bar. "Ready to go?" I asked Eddie through a mouth full of bar. He chuckled and nodded. We both walked out the house. We walked side by side, so close our shoulders could touch. I reached my hand out and grabbed his, intertwining our fingers together. He glanced at me, and I could feel his smile. We walked into the school and did our normal school morning routine. We were sitting at the sports pavilion when the bell went off. "Guess it's time for school." Eddie spoke, sanding up. I groaned dramatically. "Nooooo." Eddie chuckled. "Come on, let's go." He pulled my arm, forcing me to stand up and we slowly walked to our register class. After getting to class, we sat down at our usual seats and spoke with the other boys. The teacher did the register, and everyone was chilling. This whole morning had been going by like it normally does. We did our normal routine, and everything went by fine. That is, until now.

All of us had been playing truth and dare and Mully had just dared me to give Eddie a lap dance. "Fuck you Mully." I said, pointing my middle finger. My whole face had gone pink. "Don't be a pussy bro." Eddie was laughing and blushing. I rolled my eyes at both of them and stood up. I looked quickly around me to check if anyone was watching. My cheeks flushed and Eddie pushed his chair away from the table and slacked down in his chair. "Go on, babe. Don't be a pussy." I let out a scoff and punched his shoulder, harder than I meant to but Eddie chuckled it off. I swung my leg over his lap and sat down facing him. My face burned as I felt the other boy's eyes on us. I swallowed hard as I felt Eddie's hands slipping up my shirt. He was staring up at me with an innocent smiled spread across his face. My hips slightly rocked, and our dicks touched together making both of us gasp and stare at each other. I immediately got off, practically falling off. "Okay who's next?" I said, standing up and brushing the whole situation off. Everyone except Eddie and I burst out into uncontrollable laughter. We continued playing truth or dare amongst each other until the teacher shot up from her chair. "Okay guys, this is not a drill, get under your desks right now." We were all looking around the room confused. "I said now!" She shouted, blocking the door off with a chair and other objects she could lift. She sounded desperate with the tone of her voice which caused everyone to rush under our tables, all of us starting to panic. There was a lot of chitter around the room until the teacher set her pointer finger across her lips. "Ssshhhh!" She went under her desk. Eddie scooted over to me, and we sat together, waiting to see what was happening. Part of me believed it was one of those shit protocols where they pretend something is happening to show us what we should do. But another part of me was nudging, telling me it was something worse. Memories from me kicking my gun under the bed made my stomach drop. I stared blankly at my hands. The one day I decide to leave it, something happens. My hand reached for my waist band just in case I had put it there, but there was nothing. Eddie gave me a weird look. "Are you okay?" I didn't answer, it was like I hadn't heard him. A bunch of possibilities was running through my mind, and with every new one my anxiety rose. There was a gunshot from down the hall that caused everyone to freak out. A girl near Grant screamed and started crying, but Grant comforted her. Eddie flinched and I watched has his face dropped, him realizing this was more serious than he thought. I quickly turned around and looked at him. "Hey Ed, I'm sure everything is going to be fine." He nodded. I pulled him into a kiss, really indulging into it. Just in case my secret somehow got out and now some dick is after me. I had never felt so weak and vulnerable in a while. My eyes darted towards the door, and they stayed there. The voices down the hall kept getting louder and closer. My breathing quickened, but I kept myself calm. If this is as bad as I think it is, I need to be ready. There was a bang at the door and yelling that caused everyone in the class to go dead silent. I could see the teacher behind her desk messaging someone on her phone and crying. There was another gunshot and the door smashed open. My eyes squeezed shut as two men walked into the room. "Everybody, get on the fucking ground!" One of them yelled, shooting at the roof. A few people began hysterically crying but everyone went flat on their stomach. I stayed up. Eddie tapped my back. "Gaege, listen to them." His worried eyes stared holes into me. I shook my head no. I quickly gave him a kiss and whispered. "Trust me babe."
