The morning came around and gradually everybody was making their way out the cabins on deck. Jack was beside Gibbs at The Helm. "All hands on deck you scabrous dogs" Jack yelled before putting away his telescope. "What's made him so happy..." Will said as he passed by. "I wonder." Hector said rolling his eyes and tilting his head towards Angelica who was quite obviously eyeing her husband up. Ruby arrived on deck whilst placing her hat on her head, and pushing her hair off her face. "Morning Aunt Elizabeth." Angelica had always insisted Ruby remembered her manners around the former governor's daughter especially as she had taken such good care of them both over the years. "Good morning sweetie. How are you?" "Good.. are you happy to have, umm Uncle Will back?" "Oh darling. You don't have to call him that, you hardly know him, but yes it's simply wonderful." Ruby nodded. "Maybe I should spend more time with the eunuch." Ruby's eyes widened at her words before covering her mouth. "I shouldn't have said that. I'm sorry." "No introductions need to be made.." Will said smirking as he approached. "You MUST be Jack's daughter, the one I've heard so much about." Will lent in and hugged her. "It's good to finally meet you properly Uncle Will. Aunt Elizabeth and Henry spoke of nothing else throughout the years." Will smiled proudly. "Luckily for you, you look just like your mother, but you've got some of the Sparrow Sass haven't you?" Will smiled as Jack approached. "I'm a lucky man with a beautiful daughter and a beautiful wife Turner what can I say?" "A daughter you've taught some choice words too." Will smirked sarcastically. Ruby looked nervous. "I may have accidentally just called him an eunuch." She said with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. Jack belly laughed. "What can I say... old habits die hard. Now we are going ashore.. you're with me." He said to his daughter who nodded and began looking around at the port they had arrived in before they climbed into  the longboat.

Once in the port, Jack explained to the crew that due to their fast departure from Tortuga they were re supplying on this island whilst he and his first mate attended to some business. The fiery Angelica added "You better ensure that this business doesn't include one of your whores Sparrow..." she said in her thick Spanish accent. "Now now love. There's not been one of them since we wed has there?" Jack said knowingly and proudly of his commitment to his wife. However he guessed once a man had a reputation, he never lost it. "Yeah yeah.. and where do you think you're going young lady!" Angelica replied spotting Ruby wandering off with Henry and Carina. "Mama... Dad said we were here all day... can't I go into town?" "Aunt Angelica I promise on my word, I'll take care of her." "Hmmm it's not you I'm worried about Henry." Angelica added eyeing her curious and adventurous daughter. "Be back before nightfall." The Spanish mother called as she turned to Elizabeth. "When do you stop worrying?" "You don't." The pirate king said putting her arm round the woman. "It's easier for me, my boy turned into a man, but she will always be your little girl." Barbossa looked lovingly at his daughter. "Carina.." he called quietly. The woman in questioned turned and slowly approached scrunching her eyebrows before standing up tall. "I've got this far in life without any parent figure, I've looked after myself and protected myself, I don't need governing." Hector nodded solemnly realising just how well his daughter had done without him. "Then just be careful." He said with a caring smile.

"Anyone would think we were babies" Ruby said smirking sipping a stolen bottle of rum as the trio sat down on a deserted beach. "Well you still are!" Henry added. "I am not!! In society I'd be married off by now." Ruby rolled her eyes and scoffed at that idea. "You don't want to marry?" Carina asked the girl. "It's not about not wanting to. I'm young, I don't care for that right now. What I want, is freedom." "Ruby is our little bird." The youngest sparrow scoffed at that. "Bird?" Carina giggled. "Yes you know wants to fly, be free to go wherever she pleases." Henry said as Ruby offered the bottle of rum to him and he shook his head, before Carina took the offer and took a sip. "Doesn't everyone want that?" Ruby asked confused. "I guess... I know my mother did, that's why she never returned." "No, she never returned to Port Royal because her father had been killed. Your father had been made captain of the Flying Dutchman, AND she is the Pirate King. Don't tell me you're foolish enough to believe that your mother after everything she had done, including set my father free from the gallows could walk back into Port Royal, and say oh hello I'm back... and I'm the King of Pirates?" Ruby said chuckling. "I guess not." Henry said looking at Carina who was taking it all in. "Where does my father fit into all this?" She asked confused and Ruby's eyes widened. "Ummm how do you mean?" Both her and Henry knew of the vicious nature of Barbossa, but he had grown and became a much loved uncle figure in both their lives, but the two young pirates were not sure they should be the ones to tell his story. "Well you all seem to know each other so well. Your whole lives have been entwined." Carina added. "I guess so..." Ruby began playing with the cork from the bottle. "So, what do you know?" Carina asked Henry. "Umm Ruby knows more, she's always listened intently to all the stories, analysed them, asked questions. I was just in awe." Henry added looking at Ruby who took a deep breath. "Umm I don't know much.." she played it down. "Barbossa was my father's first mate. One day, he led a mutiny against him and left him on an island with just one shot." Ruby said sounding annoyed whilst making a gun with her fingers and holding it to her head. "Papa, as always conjured a miraculous escape, but that wasn't until after Barbossa and his crew had ransacked the Isla De Murtas. The gold was cursed and anyone who stole it had a share in that curse. Whilst looking to crack the curse, they somehow took Elizabeth as hostage believing her to be the last piece of the puzzle. In an even weirder turn of events, it was actually Henry's grandfather's blood they needed to crack the curse, Bootstrap Bill." "Bootstrap Bill?" Carina asked. "Yeah.. he stood up against your mutinous father in defence of my Dad but he was sent to the depths, and became crew on the Dutchman." Carina's eyes widened as Henry shrugged. "Then after a few battles and The Pearl having various changing of hands, the curse was broken and Papa shot Hector." Carina jumped in shock. "Shot him? As in murdered him?" "He had stolen his ship. He was well within his right to." Ruby said as if it was the simplest thing in the world. "So how is he alive now?" Carina asked deeply confused and Henry began sipping the rum chuckling under his breath.
