"Where is that girl?" Angelica said in the dining mess of the Pearl. She was tapping her nails on the old wooden table whilst sipping from her tankard. "Leave her be. Won't harm her for her to actually do some hard graft today." Jack said tucking into his food. "Jack.. we always eat as a family!!!" Angelica said angrily in her fiery Spanish accent. "Ok luv.. feel free to go find her." Jack said placing his cutlery down and taking a large gulp of his drink. "She can't have gone far. It is a ship." He said smirking, resulting in a deadly look from his wife which made both Elizabeth and Will chuckle. "Right.. I'll be going to do that then?" Jack said rolling his eyes and standing. "Excuse me gents.. and ladies. I've got an errant daughter to locate."

Ruby and Thomas were belly laughing about something, a clear side effect of the rum they had consumed. "What so that was your first word?" "Yes.... mother was not amused." Ruby said in a well to do accent. "I can't believe it. It's like you were born to be a pirate." "Well with my parents I kinda had to be. Imagine if I had gone all Elizabeth Governor's daughter on them." Thomas shrugged. "And you don't envy or want a life on land?" "Never. See, what this is..." she said gesturing around the empty deck leaning on Thomas' shoulder. They were both slightly tipsy. "What all of this is..." she elaborately used her arms gesturing once more. "Is Freedom." She said with a smile. "We're free. Life is an adventure." She turned to look at the man, and somehow he had got even closer than before and smiled. "I'm sure hoping for an adventure..." Thomas said before charmingly placing an arm around Ruby gently pulling her closer to him. She lent in, enjoying the feel before realising what was happening and abruptly pulled back. "Master Gibbs..... I don't think I've had enough rum to allow that sort of behaviour.." she smiled politely. "I apologise Ruby, I shouldn't have taken advantage." Ruby smirked standing and brushing off her breeches "You didn't, but don't go thinking you can." She said. Thomas got to his feet and nodded. "Of course not, I would never..." he said. "I know." Ruby smiled. "Thank you for this evening. Thank you for showing me what a pirate's life can be." Thomas said softly before he lent in and kissed her on the cheek and then rushing off. Ruby was shocked, but in a nice way. Her right hand gently raised to the spot he had kissed and she smiled tenderly before rushing off herself.

Jack had stumbled up to the main deck after searching the hold, the crew's quarters and a few odd cabins for his daughter. As he emerged on the two last steps leading up to the deck he heard giggles. He stopped and stared around to where the noise had come from and watched his daughter and the young Gibbs boy. They were close, and even closer when Thomas made a move on his daughter making Jack's eyes widen. He had to smirk when he heard his daughter say "Master Gibbs..... I don't think I've had enough rum to allow that sort of behaviour.." he smiled proudly as he saw her jump to her feet. There would be NO funny business on his ship, and certainly no funny business at all involving his daughter. As he began to step out and make himself known he saw how Thomas pecked his daughter's cheek and rush off, before Ruby looked as if she was stuck in a daze. Jack's eyes widened. What on earth?

He immediately rushed back down to the dining quarters. "Jack, what is it?" Will said shocked. "Angelica. A WORD luv... now." He said sternly and almost out of breath. His wife rolled her eyes before slowly standing and finishing her drink. "ANGELICA!!" Jack repeated making the woman hurry up. She followed him out as he grabbed her hand and dragged her towards the stairs up to the deck, thinking better of it, he quickly changed direction down to the hold. "Jack.. what on earth?" Angelica said as they entered the dark hold. "Did you find Ruby?" The mother asked concerned. "I did.... She was. She was with somebody." Jack said and Angelica nodded. "Right... so?" "She was with that Gibbs boy." Angelica shrugged. "Am I meant to be worried by that?" "You are, he kissed her!!!" Jack said extremely worked up. "Kissed?" Angelica said with a smile. "Yes!! Kissed!!!" Jack repeated before putting his hand on his forehead and beginning to pace. "Ok so they kissed?" Angelica said. "What's the big deal? She's close to marrying age..." "NO SHE IS NOT." Jack stopped and stared at his wife. That was a barbaric notion. "She's far too young." "Jack, she's much older than you think, she's got a wise head on her shoulders, if she thinks this Gibbs boy is worth her time to kiss under the stars whilst missing dinner then so be it. It reminds me of us, in Nassau." She said with a smile reminiscing, slowly approaching him to comfort him. "Thankfully, he was the one who kissed her, however it's still not ok." Jack said. "What's the matter, are you worried you're not the only man in her life anymore?" Angelica said tenderly to her husband. "She's not me, she adores you, you're the best father she could have ever asked for. She's not gonna lead a big heist against you. Not like I did to my father." Angelica said sadly. "I still don't want her going off with men." "She's not going off. As you said this is a ship, there's not many places they can go is there?" She said wrapping her arms around her brooding husband. "And wait, he kissed her first?" Angelica asked shocked, knowing how bashful her daughter could be she would have guessed it would have been the other way around. "Yeah. He stood up and pecked her right on the cheek!" Jack gestured at the absurdity of it all. "Pecked?" Angelica asked placing her hands on her hips. "Yeah like this.." Jack played out the interaction he had witnessed before Angelica rolled her eyes and sighed loudly. "Are you telling me Sparrow, that you've called me away from dinner and wine for a PECK?!" Angelica said flaying her arms around. "Luv, this is our daughter Savvy? Peck or not, she is to stay away from that boy." "Jack, you put him in her charge, she's proud of that. Don't go back on your word now. Not when we've got a bigger battle on the horizon." "But my girls..." Jack said wrapping his arms back around his wife. "Will always be your girls Sparrow."
