𝙏-𝘿𝙊𝙂, Daryl, Glenn, Rick, and Ollie stare at Merle's severed hand. Blood still dripping from the sliced flesh, staining the concrete beneath it. The sight makes Ollie skin crawl but he can't tear his eyes away for the life of him. Daryl turns his crossbow on T-Dog to kill him, but Rick is faster and pulls his own gun to point it at Daryl.

Standing in the middle of the two, he had to pick a side Rick or Daryl?

They both had deadly looks in their eyes. They both were willing to do anything. Daryl or Rick? Ollie had to pick a side. Crossbow or gun? Both deadly on their own and even more so in the hands of the two men in front of him.

Jaw slacked and palms sweaty, Ollie froze. This moment more stressful than a walker baring its teeth. More stressful than crawling into a dark and dreary drain pipe to find escape.

Rick knew Ollie didn't have it in him to choose between the two. He nodded for Ollie to step aside and he would deal with the man on a warpath. "I won't hesitate. I don't care if every walker in the city hears it," Rick confessed.

Daryl didn't relent, his crossbow still hung in the air. "Come on, man. Do you really want us all to become walker chow? From one crossbower to another, just put it down man," Ollie tried to reason from the safety of his position behind Glenn.

Ollie didn't know if it was his attempt to connect to Daryl or Rick's threat that made the man finally lower his bow. Daryl face twitches and if he didn't know any better, Ollie might have thought Daryl were about to cry.

Rick's gun clicked again as he pulled it away from Daryl's head and back into his holster. Daryl suddenly turns to Ollie. "That ain't no word," he grumbles. He is taken back that Daryl of all people is schooling him on his grammer.

"Crossbow-ers. We ain't buddies, got that?" Daryl spoke harshly.

Ollie nods frantically. "No, no of course not. Me and you? Buddies? Pshh," Ollie let out a nervous laugh to really exaggerate how impossible it would be for the two to be friends.
