Keefe was wandering around the halls of Foxfire while ditching Alchemy. He saw Tam walking in the hallway in front of him and quickly hid, but he was too late. Tam had already seen him.

"Keefe Sencen stop hiding right now. We both know I saw you," Tam called.

"I don't care," Keefe called back,

"You should! Sophie told me not to let you ditch today and you know what she can do if she finds out you're ditching." Sophie couldn't do anything if she found out Keefe was ditching right now because she had 'Fostered it' again and was on bed rest.

"And we both know that right now what she can do is nothing Bangs Boy!" Keefe had no idea why he called Tam that anymore. He had just been using it for so long it was natural now.

"Yes but she's counting every ditched class for between now and when she's better and you know how good her memory is," Tam had a point. Sophie's memory was amazing but he couldn't believe she would do that.

"Fine. Just let me finish this session's ditch. I'll go to The Universe," Keefe really didn't want to go to The Universe because Lady Belva still had a huge crush on him and it just seemed to get worse every time he went to that class, buuuuuut he'd do it for Sophie.

"I will ditch with you and make sure you get to The Universe straight after then."

"But Bangs Boy!" Keefe whined.

"I don't want to be murdered by your girlfriend," Keefe blushed a bit at the use of the word 'girlfriend'. The truth was Keefe loved Sophie - he had since he first met her - but he was too afraid of damaging their friendship to admit it to anyone.

"Foster's not my girlfriend," Keefe muttered.

"Yeah but you obviously want her to be." Why did Tam of all people have to know this?!

"Yeah. I do," Keefe had no idea why Tam was the first person he ever admitted this to but it was a huge relief to tell someone the secret he had been keeping to himself for so long.

"Come on," Tam sighed. "We're going to the healing centre."

"Wait, why?" Keefe was very confused by this.

"So you can confess to Sophie," Tam said simply.

"But what if she doesn't like me in the same way?!" Keefe panicked

"Trust me, she does."

"How do you know?" Keefe asked. "And why are you doing this for me?"

"She's not exactly good at hiding it. And neither are you. You're both just incredibly oblivious. And I'm not doing this for you. I'm doing it for Sophie." When they got to the Healing Centre Tam stayed outside.

"I'll give you two some time." Tam said. Keefe ran into the Healing Centre.

"Sophie?" Keefe asked.

"Keefe? What are you doing here? I told Tam not to let you ditch!" She had obviously missed the fact that he had used her first name which he only did when he was serious - or seriously in love with her at that moment...

"Sophie, wait. I need to tell you something." Keefe was so nervous he was shaking.

"What? Did the Neverseen attack?"

"No nothing like that. I just needed to tell you that ... I ... love you?" It came out as a question.

"I ... love you too Keefe." Sophie admitted. I kissed her.

"Thank you. Ba- no. You told me Sophie likes me. I'll use your name now. Thanks Tam."

"No problem, Keefe. I just want you and Sophie to be happy." Maybe Keefe could be friends with Tam.
