Chapter 17 - Copia

"Ooh Lili, Terzo is going to be all over you when he gets home! You look so pretty!" Kali exclaimed excitedly. She was wearing a simple, short black dress with her mother's pearl necklace with her auburn hair pulled back into a loose bun. She wore minimal makeup, which allowed her natural beauty to shine through. Perfect for meeting a future family member, she thought. She anxiously wiped imaginary fur off of her dress.

"Why am I so nervous? It's just his brother, right?"

"You'll be fine, Lili. Just be yourself! Oh! I think I hear him coming!" Gives her a quick hug. "Good luck! I'll talk to you tomorrow!" Kali runs out of the room and straight into Terzo.

"I was just heading out!" She said, bouncing down the hall and back to her chambers.

Terzo watched her go, shaking his head. That girl had two speeds, fast and sleeping. He chuckled to himself. He headed to their bedroom, assuming Lili would be in there. He was looking forward to introducing her to Copia but had been missing the hell out of her all day. He opened the door. "Hey Li..." He stopped mid greeting.

"Hi babe." She said. "What's wrong?"

"You..." he said, not finding the words.

"Do I look ok?" She asked, worried.

He walks up to her quickly, scooping her into a hug.

"OK? You look amazing!" He put her down, looking at her. "Wow... just wow."

He leans down and gives her a soft kiss, which quickly turns passionate. They pull away, both equally flustered.

"You would think this was our first meeting." Terzo said, blushing.

Lili smiled over her shoulder as she walked out of the room singing. "Just wanna be, wanna bewitch you in the moonlight...".

Terzo bit his knuckle, closing his eyes. He sighed. If she didn't put so much effort into getting ready, he'd take her right there. Damn that woman!

"Hey! Where are you going?" He runs to catch up to her.

"I have to pee. AGAIN." She scoots around him. "Git." She gently pushes him aside, stepping into the bathroom, closing the door.

Terzo stood there and blinked, confused. Is this what pregnancy is like? He needed to learn more about what she was going through. He'd ask Kali. She always seems to find what he needs.

"Hey honey, I forgot to shut something off in my office. I'll be right back." He said through the door.

"OK, don't be too long. We have to leave soon."

"I won't." Terzo ran back to the chambers looking for Kali. He found her in the library where she usually was.

"Hi! I thought you were going to dinner with Lili? What do you need at this hour?" Kali asked.

"Can you find me a book on pregnancy? I want to know what Lili is going through and what to expect. I'm clueless and want to help her as much as I can." He said.

"Terzo! That's so unbelievably sweet! Absolutely! I'll find you something to help you on this journey." She said, smiling at him. "You are going to be a wonderful husband and father. I've known you forever...I'm so proud of who you've become."

Terzo turned red under his mask, unaccustomed to getting such high praise.

"Thank you, Kali. That means a lot."

She smiled at him. "Now, before you're late, get out of here. I'm on this."

"Thank you again, Kali. What would I do without you?"
