DHRUV'S POV:-
She calmed down and her breath became normal again.
I was afraid of this and it did happen. All that she was feeling...I knew it could be a possibility.
"I want to cause him double the pain that man has caused you but right now you are my priority. I swear Aalu, every tear that escapes your eyes just pierces my heart and I want nothing more than to see you smile...."
I said pulling back a little to see her face.
"Alia.....are you still repulsed by my touch?" I asked gently rubbing my thumb on her lower lip.
"No..." she nodded sideways and closed her eyes to lean into my hand that was cupping her cheek.
"You have no idea how much I love you, do you?" I half whispered and she opened her eyes.
"Whatever it is, I understand but please just don't push me away....God knows how difficult it is, but if you just say a word, I'll not come near you.....but just don't ever run away from me. I'm here and I'll always be no matter what."
She gulped and I gave her a small smile.
She was looking at me and all I wanted to do was to kiss her soft tender lips.
"You are not filthy. And how can I think that when you are the purest soul I have ever met and nothing can happen that would make me think of you any less than that."
She did not say anything but I knew she understood me.
Her gaze shifted to my lips and I knew she wanted to kiss me just as much as I wanted to kiss her.
I leaned forward and there were only inches left between our lips.
"I am dying to kiss you right now...but I won't. I don't want to get sick."
She smiled and said, "You know, normally guys would say that they don't care if they get sick, in this situation..."
"They would, but if I do get sick then who will take care of you?"
I said and her smile grew.
There it is. All I wanted was to see her smiling like that.
"I love you so much." She whispered.
"I love you," I said and hugged her tightly.
*Aaachi*
She sneezed and I swear it was the cutest sneeze ever.
I chuckled softly and got up from the bed.
"Bless you, darling."
"Hehe." She laughed rubbing her nose.
"I've got you some medicine, I'll make some dinner and then you can have it." I said going towards the kitchen.
"Alright..."
I made some porridge quickly and took a plate to her.
She was sitting on the bed with the comforter up to her chest with a novel that she was reading.
"Here you go, madam."
I said sitting beside her and passing her the plate.
"Aah," She did not take it but opened her mouth.
I raised my eyebrows and asked, "You want me to feed you?"
She simply nodded. She's so cute, I could eat her up for dinner.
"Theek hai, aapaka hukum sar aankhon par."
(Alright, Your wish is my command.)
She continued to read her novel and I fed her spoons of porridge slowly.
Have I ever mentioned that I could just look at her eating the whole day?
She finished her novel as she ate the last spoon of porridge.
"I'm full now..." She closed the book and looked at me.
I showed her the empty plate and said, "That's why people eat."
She narrowed her eyes and I gave her a long smile.
"You won't have, yours?" She asked as I kept the plate on the side table.
"I'll have it later. First, you have your medicine and thennnnn,"
I handed over her medicine and gave her a glass of water, "Tell me all about what you read."
"You want to know what the novel is about?" She gulped down the medicine and looked at me, with surprise.
"Yea, why not? I love to read and I would like it more to listen to you talking about what you were reading."
I rested on my side, propped up by the palm of my hand cradling my face, "Tell me all about it."
She did the same and looked into my eyes.
She was looking so excited.
"Sooooo, this novel is about a guy, who ran away from his hometown and then met a girl who was very....."
I had read this book already a few years back and I knew the whole story.
She continued telling the story of the book, and I found myself completely mesmerized by her voice and gaze.
Her eyes were shining as she described the characters of the book and the twists and turns in their lives.
She is so adorable...
"You know I think personally, the guy deserved better." She said looking at me after ending her story.
"Dhruv! You listening to me?" She waved her hand in front of my eyes and I came back from my thoughts.
"Yes, yes. Of course. The guy deserved better."
She sighed and kept the book aside.
"Well what can we do, the writer is the God."
"Uhm, you had fun reading it?" I asked.
"It was so wholesome." She smiled.
I shuffled her hair and said,
"You should go to bed now. Let's see if your cold gets better by tomorrow."
I got up and grabbed the plate to keep it in the kitchen.
"Hm, let me just check my messages, haven't seen my phone since last night."
"I'll be right back." I nodded.
I went into the kitchen and kept the plate in the sink.
Thank God she is feeling better now.
I love seeing her like this. And to think we confessed to each other finally......it was at that moment that I knew that I had to.
We already knew that we loved eachother but the right words never came out of our mouths.....
I love her so much that sometimes it's hard to contain myself.
I just wish that she recovers quickly so that I can savour those lips of hers.
The thirst is real and I am not sure how much longer I can hold back.
I switch off all the lights and enter the bedroom.
She was looking at her phone and frowning.
What happened now?
I went up to her and she looked at me with knitted eyebrows as I settled in.
"What happened?" I asked, raising my eyebrows.
I was growing worried and she replied after a few seconds.
"Vijay Singh."
"Huh?"
"He died."
