ALIA'S POV:

"Hi, ladies!" Dhruv said and kept the bag with the cake on the table.

I turned to look at him and he gave me a slight nod.

"The door was already half open so I entered without ringing the bell. Hope that's fine." he said, walking towards us.

Did he hear anything?

He went and touched Mom's feet. She gave him her blessings and he sat next to me.

He was looking so handsome in that dark green suit. I just want to wrap my arms around him tightly. It went perfectly with my dress.

"Hi, darling. You fine? " he cupped my face and placed a light kiss on my forehead.

I looked at him with wide eyes and he raised his eyebrow asking me to say something.

"Uh...Yes." I nodded and looked away from him.

"I came here as soon as I finished my work, I was missing you so much!" He wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

I looked back at him and he winked at me, making me blush.

What is he doing?

He was much louder than usual.

"I-I missed you too."

*Ahem* *Ahem*

Garima coughed to get our attention and we broke our eye contact and looked at her.

"Hey, Dhruv! How are you doing? It's been so long." She said.

"Of course, it's been long....um... almost six months?" He asked the last part specifically to me.

"I guess...."

"Can you believe it's been six months already!? Time goes by fast when you have such a wonderful wife. All the time spent loving her, didn't even realise."

Ooookay......

There's definitely something weird here.

"You both look so happy together. I'm so glad." My Mom smiled at us.

"Beyond happy, Mummy. I can't express how blessed I am to have her in my life! She makes everything better." Dhruv said lowering his volume at the end of his sentence.

He held my hand in his free one.

I can't help but look at Garima and Ruhi's expressions.

Their faces twisting with every word at comes out of his mouth.

Garima noticed that I was looking at her and she quickly changed her expression to a smile.

"That's how our Alia is. Always making lives better. We miss her so much!" She said.

"You do? Well, do you need her number?" Dhruv asked looking at her.

"Um.....I have...her number." she replied, confused.

"I thought you had lost it, that's why you are never able to call her, right?....... You clearly miss her. Try calling her sometimes."

I squeezed his hand tightly as he said that and he squeezed it back.

What is he planning to do?

"You both should too. If you have by mistake lost her number, Garima di has it." He said rubbing his thumb on the shoulder, feeling my tense muscles.
