"This is the rainforest? I expected, you know, somewhere more paradise-y and less.... wet." Phantom complained. "It's the rainforest. What did you expect, a desert?" Abyss snapped. Of course afterward she felt immediately bad but it just went right over Phantoms head. He remained unaffected. "Everyone stop!" Crimson said suddenly, freezing. Everyone froze in their spot. Crimson listened for a second. "Come out. I know your there. We want to speak to your queen. My name is Crimson." There was an audible gasp among the trees and murmuring broke out. Crimson frowned. "Not quite what I was expecting..." Two Rainwings materialized in front of them. The smaller female whispered to the male. "Do you think...?" He shook his head. "I don't know Orchid." he whispered back. "Did you say your name was Crimson?" he said louder. "Yeah..." "Well Crimson, My name is Mangrove and you're all going to need to come with me."
"What's so important?" Abyss questioned the Rainwing named Orchid. They were flying back to the hidden Rainwing village. Saphira and Abyss, though unable to fly, strongly refused to be knocked out for the trip there. After Saphira threatened to bite the fourth Rainwing to insist she be knocked out, they gave in. Abyss was riding on the back of Orchid who turned out to be a very sweet dragon. "That's for the queen to tell you. How come there are so many of you, who are you?" "Well, you know Crimson. The colorful Sandwing is Phantom, the happy Icewing talking to that pink dragon-" "Jambu." Orchid informed her. "Yeah, the one talking to Jambu is Crystal, the one behind us is Frigid, the big pretty red one is Jewel, and the one that threatened to bite that dragon Coconut is Saphira. We just kinda ended up meeting. There's power in numbers. Shouldn't your queen be busy with more important things?" "Well, i have a feeling that this will take precedent." She told her. "Why?" "We're here!" Mangrove called from ahead. "Five words, Abyss, The Rebellion of the Wings."
The few Rainwings that had left the patrol to guide them here left and it was only Orchid and Mangrove left. The led them across a well woven bridge to a hut guarded by two visible Rainwings. "Mangrove!" One of the called happily. "Wait, who are they? Are they more recruits?" She asked. He smiled and shook his head. "Not exactly, Kinkajou. We need to see Queen Glory." "Sorry Mangrove, she's busy. Is it really important?" "A bit, yeah. This is Crimson." He gave her a pointed look. She waited for a moment, clearly thinking. Then she yelped as realization hit her. "OH! JACE, tell Glory we found her! We found her!" She told the other guard, shooing him into the hut. "Well come on them all of you! Let's go!" She ushered them in as well. "YOU WHAT? WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SOMETHING SOONER?" Someone roared inside the hut. Kinkajou bounced in happily. "She knows." She said cheerily. "Send a messenger!" The dragon, probably Queen Glory, hissed impatiently to a Rainwing that had his head in through the window. "There you are! You have no idea how long we've been looking for you! Four years nearly. You are one difficult dragon to find." She told Crimson, who couldn't have looked more confused if she'd tried. "What?" Realization spread across the Queens face. "Oh you don't know?" She asked. "Know what? Abyss, did I miss something?" She asked. "I'm as confused as you." Abyss admitted. Glory and Mangrove shot each other a look. "Well, then I believe you have somewhere to visit. Jace, take them to the base." Glory said. "Sure! Uh, I mean, yes your majesty." He smiled at them. "Follow me!"
