Jace watched as the others started to disappear, off to wherever they were supposed to be. When he decided to stay here, he hadn't actually considered what he was going to do. He had, however, considered how angry his queen was going to be at him and decided he could live with it. That probably wasn't his brightest moment. He considered all the dragons he had recently met. He was pretty good at reading dragons. First was Jewel. Jewel, despite her size and fierce appearance, was clearly kind and softhearted with a fierce loyalty. She would burn whole kingdoms to ground to save those she cared about, but all the way helping anyone caught in her blast. She would give almost anyone a second chance, but that was it. One last chance. Crystal, she was optimistic and happy. She was carefree, filled with love and trust. She was open and gave her heart freely, but was hurt just as easily. Her emotions and thoughts were always true and shown, never fake or a lie with her. She always saw the best in everyone. She would give many chances, but if you hurt her badly or hurt her friends she would never forgive you. She would hate you with a burning passion, spawned from pain and betrayal. Though she would never act on it, never sink to your level, she would use it to fuel herself. She would use it to make herself better, to accomplish everything she wanted to. Every hit would make her stronger. Saphira was unstable, unpredictable. Her mentality was the most unstable of them all. She was always one up or one down. She felt every emotion to the fullest, and could change those emotions as quickly as a Rainwing could their scales. She rarely ever felt more than one emotion at a time. She knew what she was, what she had been, what she could be, and what she would be. She never overestimated herself, but had trouble because was always underestimating others and letting her emotions control her. In her rage she could destroy whole cities. Then she would cry, alone and desperate in the aftermath, regretting what she had done. Abyss was smart, she felt more, thought more, heard more, and knew more than she ever let on. She could pick out your soul with one look and with one sentence make or break you. If you wouldn't stand with her, she would stand alone. She never asked for help, her friends had to force it on her, unless they wanted her to die of her own stubbornness. Even when she was wrong, she would just keep fighting because she couldn't stand to admit she was wrong. She wouldn't act on her emotions rashly, but seem calm on the outside and slowly plot the worst revenge possible. Frigid was scared easily, but one of the bravest of them. He would throw himself in front anything; do anything to help someone, no matter how scared he was. He was kind, but oblivious to hidden emotions. You had to flat out tell him if you were hiding something or he would never get it. Phantom, he was the most complex. Though happy on the outside, he used jokes to cover up what he was really thinking and feeling. He had a hard time trusting, but was great at hiding it. He hid his true thoughts and emotions well. He felt nowhere was permanent, that everything was always shifting and changing. He felt that if he stood still too long the ground was going to start moving under his claws, nothing was permanent, nothing was solid, and nothing lasted forever. Not mountains, not moons, not the sky, not even love. He just needed someone to show him otherwise. Then there was Crimson. Jace closed his eyes as he imagined the beautiful red and black dragon. She was impossible. He could read even the most difficult dragons personalities, but she was blank. He couldn't get a read on her. The mystery entranced him. He found her fascinating, in more ways than one. He was slowly getting better at reading her, but he doubted would ever be able to completely. Especially if she kept pushing him away. He longed to get closer to her, but it would clearly take time. One thing he did know about her was that she responded to perseverance. He just had to have a lot of it. He sighed; this was going to be really hard. But right now, he needed to find something to keep the boredom at bay. Preferably something that would keep him out of more trouble with his queen. "Hey Sunburn, need any help?!" The bright orange dragon sighed in frustration, and gave Jace a look that made him briefly wonder if he should fear for his life, before answering. "I guess." He sounded less than thrilled. Jace guessed that he knew he wouldn't be able to get rid of him anyway.

Hello! Did anyone like the bonus chapter! I'm calling it the bonus chapter because while it's not relevant to the story I really wanted to include it. I wanted to do a chapter in Jaces eyes and I wanted everyone to get a more.... in depth look at my characters personalities! I think I described them pretty well and I hope it helps everyone in imaging my characters an their reaction, thought, emotions, and expressions! Update an see you later.
P.S.
Star taker, if you decide you do want go through with your idea, do you want me to post a mention of it in an Authors note next chapter? Same for my Mudwings Fanfic.
