Returning back to the ship wasn't as great as they had thought it to be. There were too many aliens surrounding the ship and way too many of them weren't exactly in a great mood. A lot of them glared at Braizen and the tension was making Raikyr anxious. He didn't like all of this and he grasped Braizen's hand tightly, wanting to just disappear. His tail kept flicking due to his nerves and every movement sent a jolt up his spine. He still wasn't used to the cat parts that had fused into him from Luna.
"What's going on?" Braizen asked, his voice dark as he approached the ship.
Otte was standing at the open entrance to the ship, his arms crossed and his eyes narrowed. "We're missing half of our shipment," He hissed darkly, no longer friendly.
"Well that's not my fault!" Braizen snapped. "Contact control and let them know what your missing and they'll send another shipment to replace what you're missing. Why are your workers surrounding my ship?"
Otte snarled, baring long, thin spears-for-teeth at Braizen. His spines like Raikyr had thought were porcupine-like, now stood up and bristled, creating a low rattling sound. "There was an invasive species aboard your ship that escaped! They'll destroy everything on this planet that we built and then destroy the planet! Everything we worked for here ruined all because you took a detour!"
The spindly alien turned his burning eyes on Raikyr. "He brought them from his planet! They'll destroy everything! Not to mention our missing shipment! No one will be able to bring our stuff if invasive parasites destroy us! You know how long it took to establish this colony and take over this planet?! Do you know how long it took for us to establish relations with trading and become a well known common ground for many races?! This is all your fault!"
As Otte spoke, he stalked forward to Braizen and Raikyr. His body seemed to shimmer with an internal light and the fear that rooted Raikyr in his spot was unmeasured. He couldn't even think of fleeing as the alien towered of him. Braizen seemed frozen by the same fear and Raikyr's eyes widened as if in slow-mo, he watched Otte raise a hand to strike him. "And I will get rid of it." He hissed, his hand coming down to strike Raikyr.
Raikyr's body tensed as he expected the hit, unable to even will his body to move. But large hands were shoving him out of the way and Otte's claws landed on Braizen inside, tearing through shoulder with ease. Braizen's low grunt was the only indication he gave of being struck.
"And if I were to know that you would be this aggressive over my new companion, I would have never delivered your shipment in the first place!" Braizen nearly roared in Otte's face, the blood welling out of his shoulder not even affected him, but it did affect Raikyr. The sight of the blood made him faint and the smell was making him naseous. He didn't understand how all of this happened in the short time span that they had been gone and he garunteed that they wouldn't be going to get actual games and other entertainment items and would have to deal with another boring week on the ship with almost nothing to do.
"What 'parasites' are you even talking about?" Braizen said after Otte took a step back, glancing from Braizen to Raikyr and back again. "How could something that can't even been seen or noticed by my scanners be a destructive force that you would try to murder Rai over it?"
Braizen's words were dark and he didn't relax even when Otte did. A small wave of his hand had the mob of angry workers dispersing, but they weren't happy about it. Otte looked hostile, but no longer planning any sort of attack on Raikyr. Braizen was almost ten times as strong as Otte and no one would stand up to Braizen if he attacked Otte. It was clear to even Raikyr that Otte did not have anyone that would stand with him if it led to an attack.
Otte grumbled and glanced at the ship as if it was a curse to him. "Not anything that would affect you nor the human," He snapped. "They're not native to this planet and the single one we were able to detect -"
