chapter sixteen

Isis' pov:

       "Father, father, I know where, Blueberry's soul is! Father?" The headquarter seems quiet, which is quite unusual

      There's no one around, where did everyone go to?! Okay maybe they're on some kind of a break or something, but there's always people here to see that soul's passes through and not go the other way!

           "Hello?! Father! Serenity?! B-

      "Hey! Come over here" I looked at the person calling me too see it was Batya

Finally!

         "What happened, where's everyone? More importantly where's my father? Why is this place empty?"

        "Your dad- he uhhh, your father-

       "What happened to him and where's Serenity?"

        "I'll just show you"

    "show me what?"  I have a very bad feeling about this thing she wants to show me

          I walked behind her towards where we call the operation room, the place that stores the energy that keeps the smooth running of the soul order

      "Why are we-

        "Open the door" she said cutting me off, I narrowed my eyes at her, getting suspicious. I noticed a few broken chairs and desks scattered around and broken glasses too.

        "You open it" I step away from the door so she could do it herself

       "Trust me if I wanted to harm you,I would have done it" she said opening the door to reveal a large pool of blood next to a man with his back facing the door, wearing a suit I know all too well

      "Father?! Father!!" I rushed to where he was, to make sure it was actually my father or someone else wearing the exact same outfit he always wear

        "He's dead! Why is he just laying dead and where is everybody! Where is my fucking sister?! What happened here!!!!!"

      "Calm down Isis"

      "Calm down? Who the hell slit my father's throat?! Start talking before I do something you wouldn't like" I know Batya is too loyal to do anything so she's out of the suspect list but her not saying anything just makes me want to tear her to pieces

        "It all happened yesterday, we were all busy with the assignments your Dad assigned to us, I was assigned alongside a group of people to search for Blueberry's soul that we shouldn't come back until we have it, we got some information from unknown sources saying the almighty has given the death order the go ahead to search for Blueberry's soul and also Feliciana's that if they're able to bring both, the soul order would be under their supervision and every original member of the soul order will be relinquished off their duties and sent back to earth. I decided to take a smoke break, because everything seemed so overwhelming. Then I started hearing crashing noises and screams. I got out of the bathroom to check what was going on, then I saw the death order soldiers attacking our people. Mind you, we weren't ready for any war, we didn't even think they could get through. We were so unprepared so our soldiers kept dropping dead on the floor from the weapons they were being attacked with, I decided to go look for your dad, because I didn't know if he knew what was happening in the headquarters. Then I saw serenity leading him to the operation room, so I got relieved because at least his daughter is there to protect him. Before I could go to the weapons room, they caught me, I started fighting them off. By now half of our soldiers were dead, the rest injured and some fighting for their lives. They were using special guns immediately it touches your chest, you turn into a pile of dust. I couldn't fight back these much soldiers by myself, because even our best warriors were getting killed, so I decided to hide. Till it's all over, I know I'm a coward but it felt smarter at that moment. After hiding for a while I heard a sharp scream followed by silence and footsteps.
