Eyes open
Today you will see the world.
Nature is eager to be discovered by you.
Today is your first adventure.
We'll watch your imagination grow like a spring flower.
Today your petals will bloom.
Wrapped in my embrace, eyes blue as the sky.
Today you take your first steps.
Walking turns to running, the years pass like seasons.
Today you blow out 10 candles.
Day after day, you are learning so much.
Today a small journey has ended.
Keeping company under the dancing trees.
Today your heart finds its flower.
She walks like spring in a white fairy gown.
Today you discovered forever.
Now you have planted flowers of your own.
Today you created your garden.
My bones are withered and my thin branches snapped.
Today I must go to the forest.
My seasons are all passed and I'll miss all the flowers
But I've been blessed
to have seen your life blooming.
