Shiver looked down at her egg, her eyes like sharp, blue-touched knives. It must be perfect. Goshawk would have her head it wasn't. Her mother was just like that.

Snowstorm sat beside his mate. His tail twitched of impatience.

Multiple cracks lined the surface as the small dragonet started to poke out. Pink talons gripped the broken egg shell. Hypothermia pulled herself out of the egg. She stared up, up at her glaring mother's piercing dark blue eyes and her father's teal-blue ones.

"Why's it pink?", was the first thing Hypothermia heard her mother speak. Shiver turned to Snowstorm.

"I.. I don't know. Maybe something's wrong with it?"

"Maybe? There is definitely something wrong with it, icewings aren't supposed to be pink!"

"Well, we have to at least name it something. I say we call it Watermelon, after pink 'watermelon' snow."

The small dragonet made a squawk-like noise and blinked at it's parents.

"Ugh, even that small, squirming pink thing needs a name more dignified than 'Watermelon'. We'll call her Hypothermia, agreed?"

"I guess," Snowstorm replied.

"Time to tell Goshawk," sighed Shiver.

"Right."
