George looked out of the window to see that it was pouring outside, which was average in the UK, he liked it when it rained, he could lay in bed underneath his comfy blanket while reading one of his favorite books and not get bothered by his mom that would constantly remind him to get some fresh air and finally go out

But it wasn't that bad, at least he could take one of his books with him and read outside in the garden they had outdoor

George was still looking out the window, until suddenly, his sister barged into the room, slamming the door onto the wall, he turned around and gave her a look that said you okay?

"Mom said we're leaving the day after tomorrow, to go far from here, so you better pack your things and be ready!"

She said, then closed the door as she left

"Wait what?!"

That was unexpected, he felt a sense of dread as he heard the news, this meant he had to leave everything here behind, the garden, his friends, his room he grew attached to, and basically everything that was in the UK

He ran towards the door, opened it, and left the room, he went downstairs, then towards the kitchen, where his mom was

"Mom, why are we leaving the UK, and where are we going?"

He said rapidly

"We're going off to America to start a new life"

"But why?! Our life is great in the UK, we don't have to leave"

"I know you've grown attached to this place, Georgie, but now you must learn to let go"

His mom said to him as she was washing the dishes from the sink

"plus your dad got a new job there, so we kinda have to go, and you'll be able to make new friends, isn't that great, Georgie?"

she said as she finished washing the dishes and turned off the water that was running

"No! I- it's not fair!"

He began to tear up, and before Mom would turn around and ask him any questions about his sudden anger, he stormed up the stairs towards his room, closing the door behind him, lightly, so that Mom wouldn't barge in telling him off for slamming the door

He jumped onto his bed, hugging the closest pillow as he cried into it

"T- this isn't fair...

After he stopped crying, he got under his blanket and dozed off to sleep

(Woo! 412 words, not counting this, not bad if you ask me, I'll probably do the other part after maybe 2 days, but no promises, also I hope y'all liked it!)
