Chapter 2-Too Bad the Sandman Isn't Here (The Big Sleep)

It was just another ordinary morning like any other for the campers in Camp Wawanawkwa.

Where they are all in their cabins, still asleep in their little dreams. However, when they hear the sound of an air horn going off in front of a megaphone, startling them all awake. All but three girls, Lucy, Amanda, and Marinette. As the three woke up, Lucy stretched her arms and let out a yawn like a kitten would after taking a nap. Marinette gets up and stretches her arms and legs out while Amanda lets out a big yawn and then rubs the sand off her eyes.

After they got dressed and walked out of their side of the cabin, they looked to see everyone was already outside. "Glad you can join us, girls," Chris said. Amanda rolls her eyes and mutters a 'Yeah, morning to you too, dad.'

CONFESSIONAL: AMANDA MCLEAN

Amanda groans in absolute embarrassment. "For crying out loud! Out of all times dad has to wear his shorts, he has to wear them NOW? In our NEXT CHALLENGE?! And if that isn't embarrassing enough, those shorts weren't just shorts. Those are his "Hunk in a Trunk" shorts! The SAME shorts he wears for my mom when they used to be together!" Amanda covers her frustrated-flustered face, still groaning in absolute embarrassment. "If there was a competition for "Most Humiliating Kid via Live TV", I would probably win it easily and take it to my flippin' grave."

Chris then continues talking to the rest of the still, tired campers. "Okay, now that everyone's here, I hope you're all ready because your next challenge begins in exactly one minute." "Oh, excuse me, I don't know if that's enough time to eat breakfast," said Owen. "Oh, you'll get breakfast, Owen." Chris said, "Right after you complete your twenty-kilometer run, around the lake." Amanda rolls her eyes again, muttering out a sarcastic 'great'.

"Oh, so you're funny now?" Eva questioned, not liking Chris's motives, and started marching towards him with her left hand formed into a fist, ready to punch a man to a bloody pulp. "You know what I think would be funny-" As much as Amanda would like to see that happen to her dad as payback for embarrassing her by wearing those embarrassing old shorts on live TV, she highly doubts her dad and uncle Chef would get away scot-free with the producers. Especially with her mother, Catherine, since she (Catherine) is watching her at home. But before Eva can do anything, she is pulled back by Geoff and Duncan. "Eva, try to control your temper?" Courtney whispered to her. Eva then turns to Chris again. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?" she asked. "A little." Chris admits. Amanda scoffs while he tells them, "You have thirty seconds."

CONFESSIONAL: COURTNEY

"Okay, that girl, Eva, has got to get a handle on her temper. She's only been here one day, and she's already thrown her suitcase out a window and broken the lock on one of the bathroom doors."

After that, they already started to prepare for their kilometer run. "Okay, runners! On your marks, get set, go!" With that, they all started running. All but Marinette, Amanda, and Lucy.

CONFESSIONAL: MARY-LOUKRITIA CORLEONE

"Amanda explained that running around the lake sounds suspicious to her."

CONFESSIONAL: MARINETTE DUPAIN-CHENG

"So, she suggested that we should just walk instead. That way, we can see what this challenge really is."

CONFESSIONAL: AMANDA MCLEAN

"For crying out loud. First, dad wakes us up early, and now, he's making us do a flipping run around the lake? Seriously? What's next"
