Nicolas POV:
Everyone walks out of the bus, Jade and Valerie walk out together, someone pushes Braiden on the floor, and almost hits Emily too. ''Hey!'' Emily yells, almost dropping her book. Braiden gets up, rolling his eyes. Then I walk out. I look around, and look at the collar in my hand.
FLASHBACK
''After the core collapse, I didn't notice the collars.'' Dad says, showing me a bunch of pictures of him, mom, and other people. ''..Only your mom being a catch!'' He adds, pointing gun fingers to me. i process this for a moment, and he sighs. ''She was always like.. Build doors against the coming sky demons! The singularity awakens... Look at this cool S I can draw!'' Dad says. ''I'm not either who you guys needed..'' He adds. I look worried at him. ''Just.. Be safe, okay?'' He asks, pulling out the collar.
END OF FLASHBACK
''Uh, teacher, what is this field trip?'' A Male Drone asks. ''Yeah, Nicolas idea. Ask him.'' The teacher replies. ''Who?'' The Male Drone asks. ''I-I've sat next to you for years..'' I say, nervously. Everyone screams at the sight of me. ''Please don't! I wanted to come alone, he's mad at your test scores.'' I reply to everyones screaming. ''Not enough effort, no learning!'' The teacher announces. ''So, we're just unsupervised?'' The Male Drone asks the teacher, then something creates a mist of snow from them dropping down. One of them turns around, with an X on their face. I'm not surprised, but everyone else is. ''Sup, lo-'' T glares at U. ''Campers! I mean campers- Don't have to get all judgey, T.'' U rolls her eyes. ''Lets sound of- 1, 2..'' No one responds. U pulls out a gun, and so does T, and shoots one of them. ''That's everybody!'' U says. ''We've got a lot of stuff to do today, so no sneaking off to investigate stuff-..'' U mumbles, directly to me. My eyes go hollow. ''Lets go!'' T yells. ''Whatever, U! Lets go!'' Valerie says, going directly to U. ''Anything for my friend.'' Jade says, running up to T. ''Oh, um, they're like, my friends too.. So, it's cool..'' I say, embarrassed slightly. Everyone screams for some reason, and start talking to U and T.. Not like I've been treated like I freak before. I signal to U, if I could go into the woods, and she nods. I smile a bit, walking away.
IN ONE OF THE CABINS
I open the door with the Solver symbol I found out I could use last time, and I look around, having the Solver hold my flashlight. I see a roach on the ground, multiple, actually. I see this door in the floor, kinda weird.. I open it up, and look through the papers that were in there. ''Random drawings.. What's this? Serial Designation S? Better wanna keep this..'' I mumble. I hear something outside the window.. Kids screaming or something..? I look out to see.. Oh, just everyone on boats. ''So.. My friend wants to ask if you killed their family.. and are single?'' The Male Drone asks to U. ''Sabotage, minions! Plan X!'' I hear T yell. The people holding Ts boat knock over Us boat, them about to fall. ''AHH- I CAN'T SWIM-'' The Male Drone yells. U catches them for some reason. ''Oh, thank you..'' He says. ''Bite me.'' U says, pushing him back in the boat. I continue to look out the window, and it cracks. ''Tick tock.'' I hear someone say behind me. ''AH, T-!'' I yell. ''You said this camp would help us catch that weird freaky cousin of yours. How about more explore-y, less watching from window creepy.'' T replies. ''Working on it.. Just so glad you guys fit in so well..! Unlike me..'' I mumble. ''Better to stay distant though.. Don't you think? Since I'll have to kill you next..'' T says, smiling. They scratch their blade against my visor. ''U doesn't care about friends by the way, she'll move on just fine!'' T laughs, climbing out of the cabin. I sigh, looking around. I noticed I stepped on a cockroach, I fix it using the Solver. ''Sorry bud, I got you good..'' I say to the roach, and fix it. It crawls up my arm, going onto my hand. 'SCANNING FACE..' 'WELCOME BACK, 02.' It says random text, then this one catches my eye. 'CALL ELEVATOR.' ''Elevator?'' I ask it. '...' 'THE ELEVATOR UNDER CABIN FEVER LABS.' ''Where's that? What are you?'' I ask it. 'NOT PAT. WHAT ARGUE?' It thought I said that, I roll my eyes. {{I'm not sure what it actually says-}} 'NOT VALID RESPONSE.' I look out the door that seems to be open, and I walk out.
