Luigi's eyes flew open before he looked around with wide eyes

What happened?

The last thing that Luigi remembered was letting go of his older brothers hand

Mario shouting his name with fear stricken eyes and then.... nothing.

Now all he felt was pain deep in his chest spreading down to the rest of his body and it was as he looked wildly around with his eyes he came to a conclusion.

He had died.

He could hear Mario's cries for him to open his eyes echo throughout his mind Luigi could feel his shirt was soaked with tears?

Mario's tears.

Mario holding his broken body.

Yelling at him to wake up.

Begging.

Mario! Where was Mario? Luigi shot to his feet only to fall back on the floor as pain shot through his broken legs and chest ( everything hurt) ( every bone in his body broken) Ignoring the pain Luigi crawled through the warp pipe leading to his and Mario's new home in the the mushroom Kingdom . Everything seemed fine nothing was out of place at least on the outside.

He crawled inside feeling his heart falling in his broken chest he couldn't breathe he just couldn't no matter how hard he tried no matter how much he wanted to his face turned as white as a sheet as he looked around the room

MARIO! Luigi shouted in a undeniable voice of pure panic.

Furniture had been over turned while others had been turned to nothing but ash signaling count Bleck had definitely been here as he crawled across the charred floor he felt something cut into his broken hand.

Tears pricked his eyes as he saw what was amongst the broken glass two pictures of two young boys. The first was a picture of two boys smiling happily as they handed each other their birthday gifts for their 24th birthday

Gifts that had gotten mixed up between the twin brothers.

Big fat tears fell on the picture the second one was two boys Each wearing their trademark hats while Mario lightly pushed his little brother on the swing Luigi's left foot was broken and in a blue cast

Mario's name written in black sharpie and LUIGI'S right arm badly sprained and in a sling

He had injured both his arm and foot because of a bad wipeout.

Mario had immediately calmed him down just like Mario would with one of Luigi's nightmares before he took him to the doctor.

Luigi cried and cried never once stopping as he drifted off to sleep.

Mario came face to face with Count Bleck as he had taken him from his and Luigi's home but without his brother it wasn't and never would be home.

Hello my name is Mario you killed my brother prepare to die. Ah Mario Count Bleck's next word's caused his blood to boil. You mean Greenie? He deserved it your brother was a wimp and a coward Count Bleck smiled coldly and cruelly and these next word tipped Mario over the edge

He didn't deserve the love he got especially from you. Those words filled Mario with pure rage all he saw was red pure blood stained red.

LU WAS NEVER A COWARD AND HE NEVER COULD BE EVEN If THAT'S WHAT HE THOUGHT OF HIMSELF. His bottom lip quivered in anger as he continued HE WAS AND ALWAYS WILL BE MY HERO Mario raged
