Chapter 3

[Name] shuffles in the blanket, their head hurt, their eyes were puffy, and worst of all,  they still had yet to hear the rest of the story from Xavier. Over the past week they hadn't been allowed to leave their room at all, and hadn't been allowed to leave their bed either, so the paperwork just kept piling and piling.

No-one could figure out what was wrong with them, they had brought in doctors, and medics, but nothing worked. Some people thought it was like the sickness they had gotten when they were younger, but they could tell the difference. When they were younger it felt like their body was trying to get rid of something, now it felt like their body wanted something to stay.

They hated it, they just wanted to get out of their stuffy room, and away from the castle, and the snobby people that resided in it.

So today, they were going to do something, they knew when the guards would  be switching posts outside of their room, so they could sneak away then, while it would make them feel light headed, they needed it, they really did.

So when the guards started to switch, they quietly krept out of their room, and then quickly dashed down the hallway, nearly tripping almost every step.

They stop in the hall when they see Cassandra and Rapunzel grabbing some things and talking. They walk up to the two, “where are you guys going?” They ask quietly, as their head pounds from running so much.

“A wizard's house!” Rapunzel exclaims quietly, as to not Alert the guards in the hall.

Cassandra looks at them with furrowed eyebrows “aren't you supposed to be in your room?” she says, her arms crossed across her chest.

“Well, yes, I am, but since when did you care about people sneaking out of places” at this comment Cassandra rolls her eyes. “ Also a wizard's house? You sure you don't mean like, I don't know, an alchemist?”

Their sister glances at Cassandra, before looking back at them “ No, I'm pretty sure he's a wizard” she says smiling. “You should probably go back to your room now, before anyone notices you're gone.”

“No, it's fine, those guards don't ever check in there, besides, I'm going with you guys” they say, fidgeting with their hands behind their back.

     “You are?” Cassandra asks sarcastically.

“Yeah, I am, maybe this so called ‘wizard’” they say using air quotes “ has a cure or something for this sickness”

“Well, I don't know, I mean, it would be better if you stayed here. But…” Rapunzel looks over at Cassandra one more time.

Cassandra sighs “Fine, you can come” [name] smiles,  and then off the three went.

[Name] had their own horse this time, named [name of choice], with beautiful black fur and a white mane. They didn't want to ride with the other two, also there wasn't enough room, so they decided that even with the horrible  headache, aching limbs, and the ever looming threat of passing out, that they would ride by themselves.

They began their journey, and eventually they made it to the snuggly duckling, which they downright refused to go into.

They continue on the road to old corona, where the supposed wizard lived. They roll their eyes at the thought, psh, as if some wizard would choose to live there, of all places.

They continue to focus on the path ahead, and then eventually they make it to a small little cottage.

The three of them hop off of the horses, tie them down, and begin to walk the steps up to the door. “ So This is where the ‘Wizard’ lives?” They ask as the three get closer to the door. “ seems… cozy, in a I-wish-i-had-said-goodbye -to-my-loved-ones-before-I-left ,kinda way”
