Aurora furrowed her brows at her phone that was sat on her passenger seat. Who tf - she answered it anyway, keeping it facing the roof. It took a while to connect but when it did, Lando's face popped up. A huge stupid grin on it.
"Aurora?" she picked the phone up and revealed herself, to her surprise it was able, his smile grew even more, "Hey." She propped it up against her wheel and grinned back, "Hey girl, hey."
"What are you doing right now?" He was walking outside, presumably crossing a road as he whipped his head side to side, "I am currently sat in my car, Lando. What are you doing?"
"Well currently, I am on my way home." She chuckled slightly at her phone as he awkwardly smiled at a stranger - his lips shut tight.
"Where've you been?" Aurora leant over into the backseat as he explained his day, grabbing her sandwich from her bag. "- but it wasn't too bad, so ive treated myself to a cupcake." He exclaimed as he manoeuvred the camera to show the little box in his hand. He was so proud like a little child.
She fake gasped, "Not a cupcake !" He gave her an unimpressed look as she teased him before he grinned at the screen, "Not a sandwich!"
"Yes a sandwich." She replied in the same tone, putting it up the screen, "and ive got myself a slice of cake for after," She laughed as he gasped - putting the phone further away from his face, "Don't make me jealous."
The pair sat in a comfortable silence for a moment as Lando crossed another road. She took the moment to admire him without it being obvious what she was doing. She had to give it to him, he was a very pretty boy.
"What sandwich is it then?" he enquired after successfully making it to the other side, his attention now focused back on the girl on his screen.
"Umm," She turned the wrapper over to examine the front, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. "It is a meat feast combo,"
"Riveting." This took both sides by shock, "That's a very big word Lando."
"I know. I never even knew I knew that word, look at me go."
"Such a proud mother moment," He winced at this noticeably, making Aurora laugh a real laugh. Lando couldn't help but smile widely at this - the sound of her laugh making him feel warm inside.
"Hey Aurora, im home now so I'm gonna go," he said. Aurora scoffed and rolled her eyes, "Using me i see."
Lando just laughed and cooed at the screen, "Who's a self aware girl." She didn't respond just stared at the screen in disappointment before putting the phone down and returned to her netflix and sandwich.
